It's going to force hydrogen economy. Toyota already solved hydrogen. They've been making hydrogen cars for retail sale for two decades there. They started selling hydrogen cars in California in 2010. Cummins now makes a turbo hydrogen prime mover, for trucks and tanks and stuff. Hydrogen is coming and US companies have to ignore the oil jews and go for it, or we will be permanently left in the dust. Luckily they are. A US company from Texas (!) has a fridge-sized unit that distills hydrogen and oxygen from water. You can run it on 1100w power, solar panels will do that.Back in 2010 or so, GE even sold hydrogen water and home air heaters, combo unit, that created hydrogen via catalytic reaction with palladium, just drip the water onto a warm palladium plate and you have hydrogen and oxygen which you then burn as it comes off the catalyst.
