The newer models are FINALLY doing what AI always needed to do have human engineers build robust scaffolding against limited LLM calls rather than expect magic AGI to just take prompts and your personal data and build exactly the answer.Fable is very good. It almost but not quite can bridge the “but is there a source for that” limit that opus has. You have to hand hold it but it genuinely responds to minimal good hand holding. And fable using opus to do clearer tasks is god.The only problem is it slams compute. Literally if you try to run Claude during the start of business US time, it just becomes retarded and lies to preserve compute. It actually wastes compute but most normies are dumb so the lazy protocol works to save aggregate compute.It’s just, we needed Fable Opus tier and we need more hard wired management of them, and better interfaces and better overhead around the LLM itself. And vastly vastly more compute than exists for the consumer needs.The AGI was a pipe dream but valuable AI exists. I’m not sure if it can actually scale to the consumer economy.
