He weighed 5lbs and required 24-hour care at home because he would intermittently stop breathing, wouldn't sleep for more than a few hours at a time, had colic so he cried a lot, and GERD (chronic acid reflux) so we had to feed him small bottles of specialty baby formula mixed with Mom's brew every few hours for several months. I was off work via FMLA so I told my wife I'd stay up at night with him and she could sleep nights. Fast forward to today, he's about to graduate college in a STEM program and is 6 foot tall, healthy weight, blonde hair, blue eyes. He's kind, wicked smart (Mom's brains for sure) and educated on the ways of the world. He's pursuing a non-glowing government job for the stability and retirement benefits. Any puniness he had as a baby has been replaced by an alpha male. Having said this he has an aversion to driving which is a weird gen Z thing. For what it's worth, underweight babies in the U.S. qualify for Social Security so his one million dollar hospital bill was paid by your tax dollars.
