Iran and ISIS tried to unite them, then they discovered the other exists
>>
None of them really make sense as countries, they will eventually split into tribal identities or be taken over by greater powers (Iran, Turkey, Israel, Arabs).
Their creation was an afterthought when Britain abandoned the colonies.

I can't tell if you are being Syrias or Iranic.

iraq is shia, syria is sunni.
iraq's population is exploding so they could easily conquer syria.

They've never been one "country" in any ressembling a common identity. They occasionally belonged to the same large empires that were ultra decentralised compared to modenr states.
Iraq already hardly makes sense. Even ignoring the 4 millenia old difference between upper and lower mesopotamia, there are loads of kurds and (ethnic) Arabs thrown in. Syria at least makes a modicum of sense aside from the desert part (which to be fair will always be controversial because historically they were barely populated by semi-nomads until recently) and even then some tribal and religious minorities have strong separate identities, but it vaguely corresponds to the antique Aramaic peoples.

"put their own people first" involves murdering the nearby tribe because the islamic ritual the nearby tribe practices doesn't correspond to the local haddiths.

most of their territory are barren desert which is why their border is a straight line. Syria was Assyria and Iraq was Mesopotamia. Syria is mostly populated in the Levant with Damascus being at the start of the Mount Lebanon range. Iraq is mostly settled on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers with Baghdad being where they meet. This meme that the borders were drawn randomly is very dumb for Arabs to push and denigrates their own countries. They want them to collapse so they can create some caliphate larp but Persia (shias) will stop them which is what happened in history every time.

ironically Assyria formed in modern northern Iraq
Iraq is named after Uruk
they should call themselves the Shamal(north) just like Yemen means south

the borders were mostly based on the Ottoman sanjaks (provinces) that already existed and followed were everyone was living, in the places I mentioned. usually near a river, just like your country (Bosna river).

Arabs do put their own people first. The problem is that they are gigachuds who think "my people" means some obscure esoteric clanic lines where they'll perform comical levels of nepotism and gladly fuck over 95% of the population of their official state, and especially their neighbors because their great-grandfathers had a cousin that had sex with a guy that was buttbuddy with the wrong imam or warlord.

>>543359927
>Nooo it's because of the big bad Brits and French
Literally all colonial borders made sense aside from microscopic adjustments in controversial cases. Even the niggerest parts of Africa were at least split by geogrophical and strategic considerations because there was no historical or ethnic split available. Complaining about the borders is just a way for thrid worlders to avoid responsibility by blaming administrations that ended 70 years ago.

>>

Yes, it's a shame they gave up so easily
>>
>>543360202
lol no, Syrian Iraqi border cuts across the Euphrates, separating Sunni living between them
eastern Syria should have went to Brits while Transjordania to the French
this would have avoided formation of ISIS
>>
>>543360617
>Iraq should get all the Euphrates

if Syria was only the Levant, then that means the Iraq border would be just outside Damascus. Iraq could then just try to take over the rest of Syria. if Iraq became a proxy, then it would be Persia taking over the Middle East. this is what happened before, not Sunnis. Ottomans were the compromise between them. with the border being in the middle of nowhere, the populations are far apart from each other which is easier to deal with. they are actually countries.
>>
>>543359839
Iraqs borders were drawn up by a Bong Woman called Gertrude Bell.
Hollyjew made a film about her called "The Desert Queen" with Nicole Kidman playing her.

>>543360917
my point is the borders make sense for anyone who spends 5 minutes looking at what the middle east is actually compromised of. the people saying they were drawn randomly over a bottle of whiskey seem to be taking the joke seriously and haven't looked at what is actually there at all. like the existence of Iran/Persia is a complete mystery to these people to start with.
>>
>>543361026
*comprised of

>Levant, Assyria, Mesopotamia, Tigris, Euphrates, Lebanon, Nile

these aren't words I made up, anyone with any Middle East knowledge would know them day one. if you open a book from the 19th century they were actually used way more than now, the language has denigrated to memes (Saddam, proxy, Israel, Jew, Zionist, communist, more recently Assad). just a mental garbage heap.
>>
>>543358984
They're both degenerate American puppet states so it doesn't even matter. Unless you're an actual sovereign country like Iran then borders are something that only exist in paper as far as the elites are concerned.

lol no, also Damascus wouldn't be a major city in French Levant, those would be cities like Beirut or Jerusalem
>>
>>543358984
They'd be a large landlocked country. No ports.
>>
>>543361428
then why not just make the whole FR part Lebanon? why have Syria at all? then there is the Kurds as another factor.

They'll never truly unite because of a fatal flaw within Islamic theology: might make right, so it isnt as much as that a single united Islamic front cannot forcefully unite these two nations, but rather that any attempt to do so will be inevitably undermined by opportunistic underdog factions who seek to change the status quo in their favor. Its also why a lot of these gov are super totalitarisn shitholes, if they show even an iota of "weakness/meekness", some factions will take it as a call to action.

Basically Islam is designed to encourage civil and internal wars just as much it encourage war against foreign entities, regardless of scale. Also doesnt help that every time a muslim faction grow in power to the point it become a legit threat to everyone, they tend to go full retard and make a caste of slave soldiers (ie Mamluks, Jannisairies) out of hubris which always backfire because these slaves end up way more influential and powerful than the ones who enslaved them.

So in the end, even if they were to forcefully unite the nations, whoever is at the helm will now have to deal with twice as many underdog factions over a larger territory and more varied theological justifications. So most dont bother and prefer to live like despot over their sliver of the pie.
>>
>>543361677
Islam does this because the focus is meant to be Mecca and Medina. countries can't and even shouldn't really exist in that worldview, or they are viewed as temporary engagements. Christians were the ones responsible for drawing these borders for that reason since Europe has countries, rooted in kingdoms/dukedoms/diocese/villages. it's much harder to have a village in the desert if it's not by a water source, then it's usually just a camp.
>>
>>543361772
>Can't or shouldnt exist in that world view

Except that wrong, as national entities are recognized within Islam (muh self vs kin vs family vs clan vs tribes vs nations). Its more like Islam was never intended by design to allow any specific faction to be able to hold power for long as to prevent anyone from straying too far off Mohammed's Wild Rideā„¢, so its chockfull of self sabotaging shit like this. Honestly Islam is a perfect exemple of what a slave religion entail, and its all worse off for it.

Iraq has a port at Basra which is in the small part of the Tigris/Euphrates basin next to Kuwait. Syria also clearly has the Levantine coast with Latakia being their main port.
>>
>>543362116
I realized that a moment later. I didn't blow up the OP image and it looked like it was all landlocked. I didn't have any way to delete the post.

>>543361630
because French wanted a Christian state in the near east, they wouldn't be able to justify formation of Lebanon if Sunnis were not that present in norther Levant

They will become one country called Greater Israel. You have to remember goyim, these lands were promised to jews 3,000 years ago.
