So does going outside kind of suck now compared to the past or is it just me? I’m talking like 2010 or 2005 and before.it just seems like even if you find a place you to go, somehow, there is constant background anxiety. I’ll give some examples.The first one is cellphones and social media, anytime anyone arbitrarily decides you’re doing something wrong, they have the ability to record you and upload that video online eith whatever narrative they want. It can just be an honest misunderstanding or even someone outright lying and wanting to make problems for t you because. The best example of this is young guys being afraid to even zone out and gaze in the direction of a woman at the gym.The second example is all of these mass surveillance cameras everywhere all over the place. You can’t even exist in public without being recorded the entire time and that video ending up in some server ot the cloud. So even having conversations in public or just relaxing is harder now. your neighbors have stupid cameras on their house so if you go for a walk or jog or walk to work or anything, someone can arbitrarily think you “look suspicious” because of whatever reason. and then put you on some social media page like youre some freak for jogging at 5 am or whatever.I just think the overall vibe and atmosphere outside now is just constant anxiety and that isnt even getting into the headache of public transit and people on the bus / train potentially attacking you or someone else.Am I imagining it saying going outside in public isnt enjoyable now? It honestly was before and the cut off was like 2012 or so. my friends and I used to go out and have a ton of fun and we would never be able to go out now and just act that way in public goofing off making memories like we used to. it’s fucking sad.

I mostly go outside to walk dogs or pick up dogs or take them home. I run a dogsitting business so my day is spent with dogs.I hate driving anywhere, and public places are shit now, but I still find dog walks to be peaceful and profitable.

It’s crazy to me that there are some people that are on those 24/7. It doesn’t seem like a healthy or sustainable lifestyle especially because people build up tolerances.
