Karl Bushby was a paratrooper in the 90s and recently divorced so at the age of 29 he set off on an insane journey. His plan was to walk from Punta Arenas, Chile to his mothers house in Hull, UK it has taken him nearly 30 years and he is now 57 but he is now on the final leg of his journey and will be home in November if all goes well.

Russia was denying him a visa, so he changed course and walked from Arizona to Washington D.C to the Russian Embassy as a political stunt to garner attention in the hopes that Russia would overturn his visa ban. Then he walked back to Arizona and then to Alaska after he succeeded. The walk across the US (both ways) took him two years.
