You take a regular dose and it makes your neurons dump the serotonin you have stored in your brain and that as what gets you high. Your body / brain can’t make more serotonin in the time period of the drugs effects (and because there’s a serotonin deficit in the days afterwards you feel tired and flat .. some get depressed). It’s not like weed or psychedelics or opioids where the drug itself is the active agent. The three month rule is a good one to let your brain replenish serotonin and rejuvunate.
