(WHNS/Gray News) - A mother has been charged with attempted murder after two children were found with knife wounds.The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said Taylor Gosnell, 35, was arrested Saturday after deputies were called to a home on Bud Arthur Bridge Road for a welfare check.
>When deputies got to the home, they said they found two unattended children, a three-year-old and a six-year-old, with wounds apparently caused by a knife.The 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said TVs and mirrors at the residence were also found to be shattered. Gosnell’s mental health was called into question when she arrived at the residence, and she was taken by an ambulance for evaluation. She attempted to flee the ambulance at one point.Both children were taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center to be treated. They are expected to recover. There was severe damage to the six-year-old’s arm that may result in it needing to be amputated, the solicitor’s office said.An investigation determined that Gosnell attacked the children with a knife and a blunt object, according to deputies.She was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center and was denied bond.
