AOC identifies as a populist. Populism exemplifies a lot of what is wrong with American politics. It exploits tyranny of the majority and sacrifices internal logical coherence in favor of appealing to people emotionally and simply amassing support and votes. Populism is where politics fails. Her platform makes complete sense to me, but populism as a vehicle for that platform does not.
