>eviscerates your failing drug policies
Why is /pol so in favor of the horribly failed prohibition of drugs?
>>
Most dictators dislike drugs and /pol/ always defers to them
>>
That's a very cool photograph

The alternative is inculcating a narco-state
>>

Kek literally the opposite. Did legalizing alcohol make an alcohol state? Are we a tobacco state?

Prohibition gives big drug cartels a monopoly because the barrier of entry is way too high for small producers.

Cartels and narco-states are the product of prohibition.

>dont execute drug drugs
>dont execute drug users
>dont seize all property of drug dealers
>horribly failed
We haven't even tried
>>
>>543445400
drugs are bad because they make retards think theyre having profound insights and discovering spirituality when whats really going on is they are high on drugs

>Two more weeks until we win the war on drugs
>The REAL war on drugs has NEVER been tried
As delusional as communists telling me capitalism is two weeks away from collapsing
>>
>>543445623
If the government starts overseeing / raking in profits from the sale of narcotics it just replaces the cartels. You're still left with a narco-state.
>>
>>543445623
Also we *ARE* an alcohol / tobacco state

Fuck off prince sober

Then ban music, sex, pretty vistas, etc.

Also, legalizing drugs would remove the mystique. I don't know about you but when I tried weed I was so disappointed and I wondered how anybody ever thought "OMG WEED OPENS YOUR SOUL BRO" it's because the illegality of drugs gives them a mystique that you're uncovering forbidden knowledge.

Already you see with ketamine which is legal and given in medical ways people don't treat it with the romanticism they do LSD or Mushrooms.

The cultural context of drug use affects the experience.

If you give somebody shrooms and say "BTW ancient shamans used these to connect with the spirit realm aeons ago... enjoy the trip" they're going to have a totally different response than if you say "After ingestion, psilocybin is rapidly converted into psilocin.
Psilocin acts mainly on serotonin receptors. It especially activates 5-HT2A receptors, which are abundant in brain regions involved in perception, cognition, attention, and the integration of information."

No you aren't, again do you consider the US to be an alcohol-state

>>543445801
No we aren't lol a narco-state would be like areas of Mexico under cartel control or Colombia under Medellin cartel (both of which came about because of the massive illegal market in America)

>a small subset of drug users being obnoxious
vs
>6 gorillion dead and imprisoned and entire countries destabilized by psychopathic cartels and market forces encouraging fent use over safer opioids
