That's not a hypersonic missile, it's just a ballistic missile. Yes the ballistic missile comes down very fast, but it flies by a very well known and easily calculated ballistic trajectory forming a parabola. The hypersonic gliders developed by china can travel to their target straight through the atmosphere, flying low and fast. Impossible for ground based radar to detect in time, much faster to the target, impossible to intercept.Ballistic missiles can be intercepted pretty easily if you're close to the launch position
