New England townships were built by recent European immigrants. They replicated European civilization on the new continent. The things built further out west are truly built by american culture, and that's why it's nothing but strip malls and parking lots.

Rent isn't cheap, but not absurd unless you're near the coast. The trade-off is a the microscopic dating pool, near complete lack of of modern office jobs, being 2+ hours from a real city, and the six month winters.

where are these kinds of towns situated? i want to visit them when i go on a 3 or 6 month trip to America. I will NOT leave willingly, they will have to deport me and i will keep coming back!
