It went wrong when people assumed he actually had a plan like in your OP. He bombed Iran because Laura Loomer fucked him. He called her right after he did it too. She told him that the regime was on its last legs (due to the pressure with the attempt to do a colour revolution in January). A finish push, and it will be like Venezuela. So he did it, against the advice of the military. And we now have a shit show unfolding because of it. That's not to say that the US was never going to go into Iran, but Iraq war 2 they built things up for 3 months at least. Going to the UN, blasting propaganda on the TV every day and doing all the usual "warming up" for the war. That wasn't done here because of how Trump did it impulsively.And there are still people (maybe shills or just genuine retards) who think that there's still some kind of plan, that he's not making things up as he goes based on how he feels that day. A key clue should be when those 3 US military personnel died at the start of the war with Iran. He barely talks about them and then changes the subject (unprompted) to start rambling about the ball room, and how great a job he's doing. He talked more about that ball room that the people who died in the war he started.Was there some timeline where Trump could've been good, had he had the right people in his ear, the right people to talk him down from one of his impulsive and stupid decisions, sure. But a lot of those people didn't end up in the whitehouse, have been pushed out and in at least one case got shot because they were consistent on being anti-war and trying to talk the president out of anything drastic.
