You can also buy low thc weed that is high in CBD that you can mix with your weed if you want. THC is THC, the THC in the 70s wasn't different. I think part of it is people going back and smoking for the first time in decades and blaming the drug instead of just accepting that it's not for you.

I smoke weed and my brother drinks. He used to smoke until he joined the Army (National Guard), which he's still a member of, and he's the one we just bailed out of jail last week after he wrecked his work truck and ran into the woods while he was drunk, hahaha. I know a lot of people with functioning lives that smoke, and I also know more than one alcoholic that makes terrible decisions while drunk. I don't understand where this new campaign against weed is coming from, as in why they're so against it, unless it really is just to protect the alcohol industry.

Used to be addicted to pot. Wish I had never smoked it at all. Started in my teens and smoked atleast 10 years getting high daily. I've been sober now for about two years, no alcohol, I do smoke cigarettes. Weed isn't so bad if used occasionally but daily hubitual use for years on end will do a number on your brain. I enjoy being sober now, being clearheaded is the most important thing I have going for me. Dopamine is hard to come by these days but atleast when I get some it's from real meaningful sources and not from a drug(besides porn which I havent been able to kick yet, arguably just as bad habitual marijuana use). I recommend sober living to anyone and it's not so bad. The dreams coming back makes it worth it alone.

I am currently 1~ month into smoking a small amount every night before watching something and going to bed.Never smoked before the age of 30.A few things i've learned, the relaxation is addicting. Short term memory gets obliterated, but i only lose 9pm - 11pm and am completely sober in the morning. I have 0 compulsion to smoke during the day, in fact the 1 time i did it felt like my whole day was ruined.I am moving houses soon so i might take a good 2-3 week break. But so far no negative side effects.

It slowly makes your life worse. I smoked every day for close to 12 years. I was highly functioning and productive but some stressors and problems creeper up over time and I ignored them, oblivious to them entirely. Things were fine until they weren't. Quitting sucked because i had bad dreams for like a month straight. But I am happy I was a weed smoker and not an alcoholic
