Whats a 401k?
>>543474837a number between 400,999 and 401,001
>>543474837ITT rentoids and poorfags seething.
A hedge fund ponzi scheme under the guise of being a retirement fund that those who make it to the age to have it dispersed will get as long as the rich don't steal it from you first and leave you wondering why you put your money into that motherfucker instead of just saving it yourself.
>>543474837its an employer sponsored savings plan. you have X amount of your check before taxes taken out and put into a mutual fund that grows over time. usually its a percentage and most employers match up to a percentage
It's just insurance
>>543474837It's something your employer pays into so you can withdrawal it when they fire you for the extended costs of living without a job. Or to pay for a wedding, or funeral
>>543475037And when you leave the company, it disappears like a fart in the wind. All that money gone. Poof.
>>543474837>>543475005ThisThey have a special tax incentives assigned to allowing jews to manage your money. Every dollar goes directly to black rock. If your input isn't matched don't bother putting any in, just pull cash out and buy silver, or other assets you actually need.
>>543475005>>543475037So what are the risks?
>>543475279i know where you're going with thisREPORTED
>>543475005>A hedge fund ponzi schemeTell me financially retarded without telling me you're financially retarded.
>>543475279well its market dependent so... its worthwhile to put money into simply for the match from employer
>>543475733>meme flag oop
>>543474837It's how we convinced people to let banker jews gamble with their retirement savings lol
>pay taxes on your money twice>cant spend your money until you’re older than 59 1/2 or ppay a giabt penalty>stock market crash? gg you’re liquidatedjust buy bitcoin
>>543475121That's not how 401ks work>>543475279Market dependant. If you reach retirement age and the market is shit, it's going to suck.
Wow, you guys all seem so smart and successful.
>>543476146>That's not how 401ks worktechnically it can be somewhat true. some companies have vesting schedules for employer contributions. you'll never lose the employee contribution, but if you quit before the vesting cliff, you will lose some portion of the employer contribution.
>>543474837The thing I show your zoomettes before they lift their haunches and accept my cialis torpedo.
>>543476245Yes there's a little jew-fu that comes with employer contributions if there's a vesting schedule, best to be aware of the fine print in your 401k plan at work.
>>543474926well done lad
>>543474837>Whats a 401k?its the government and corporations working together to offload the corporations retirement obligations onto the worker and then play yank the rug on the market directly with plebe money instead of corporations having the severe burden of trying to yank the rug and have these pension obligations to honor
>>543475279>So what are the risks?I lost 50% of my 401shit in 2008if anyone here says >b-b-but it eventually went back up and is worth more nowyou should be put in a fucking gas chamber
>>543474837its basically a burger pension but they cant stop talking about it and taking money out of it to lose it somewhere
>>543474837Basically we got rid of pensions in the 80s and replaced it with a system where you pay into your retirement to publicly traded companies who can do whatever they want with your saved money, potentially ruin your ability to retire in your later life, and never be held accountable for it after they lose or embezzle it all.
>>543474837Mutt pension dictated by the market lol
>>543474837I don't think I can run that far.
>>543474837Four hundred and one thousand.
>>543475037you can do a roth 401k. taxes are only going up so you might as well pay them now
>>543475279you have normal market risks but your company usually matches what you contribute up to a certain percent of you salary so you automatically double your money. one of the big risks right now is that they are talking about bailing out the ai companies with peoples 401k's by forcing them to buy the ai companies stock
>>543474837gambler's pension
>>543474837It’s something that your employer gives you to save extra money. Aka nothing the broke retard neets here need to worry about
>>543478234its amazing there are retards that post this shit, not realizing that they were created to eliminate the corporation's burden of your pension so that you the little person can eat all those losses instead of the corporationfew also seem to remember that we were about to have another 2008 in 2019 when they injected trillions into the banks instead of having the impending financial reckoningeveryone's 401s are going to get fucking stomped in the near future and it is 100% by design
>>543474837Old people when they were young they voted for old people care then kicked down the ladder after they got it.
I don't know, I'm a bicycle guy
>>543474837In the grim darkness of the far far future, nothing even happens
>>543474837Discipline forced by hiding savings. Also they are about to be worrhless. 401ks and pensions will bail out AI. The final wealth transfer.
>>543475121No you can pull it out or roll it over. it's a good way to force yourself to put money aside for unemployment.
>>543481981my 401k is in cash. I just use it as for savings, so I've got liquid assets to protect me if I get fired or laid off
>>543474837System which transfer money to baby-boomer generation.
>>543475121Still trying to recover my 401K funds from my last job. It looks like about 1/3 will disappear.
>I honestly don't understand how anyone gets anything done over here in Europe because simply trying to run everyday errands is enough to make me want to double my Prozac dosage. Yesterday I just wanted to grab some basic groceries and maybe hit a drive-thru, but you literally can't find a normal strip mall anywhere, and when I asked the cashier if my purchases would count toward my FSA deductible or if I needed to use my checking account's routing number, she looked at me like I had three heads. It's exactly like when I tried to figure out the local HOA guidelines for trash pickup and the landlord just stared at me, which is equally as frustrating as trying to explain to my kid's homeroom teacher that his sophomore GPA needs to be competitive if he ever wants to negotiate a solid 401k match right out of college. I can't even get a straight answer on whether or not the corner pharmacy accepts my out-of-network copay, and don't even get me started on the banking system—I tried to explain how my alimony payments are supposed to be tax-deductible on my W-2, but the teller didn't even ask for my Zip Code or check my FICO score before processing the transfer. The whole neighborhood feels totally unregulated, like, no one cares if you violate the zoning laws for your front yard, and the PTA meetings are a complete joke because they don't even discuss how to organize a proper Spring Break bake sale or how the local DMV handles parking tickets in school zones. If I don't find a decent place to get a venti iced coffee that respects my basic rights as a consumer before Thanksgiving rolls around, I'm literally going to lose my mind. Why are Americans like this?
>>543482976yikes it's a world salad AI post
