In the 80s and 90s, rich people shit was cool. It was something to aspire too. You wanted to be part of it. Every dumbass little white boy thought he might be able to become the next Neil Armstrong if he just worked hard enough and wanted it bad enough and had some brainpower.

Now all that is dead. What are the political implications of wagies knowing they have no chance and not even caring about rich people shit anymore? Does the death of the illusion of meritocracy kill the American Dream?

The result is people like me doing as little work as possible while at work and shitposting on 4chan but getting paid for it because i dont care about working hard because im already ridiculously underpaid with zero chance of catching up to a wage that my profession earned 40 years ago relative to cost of living.
