People have trouble realizing how money can be created by banks and therefore misunderstand why some countries are "poor" -- the root cause of that poverty is a less developed financial sector. The US labor is so expensive because the entire world creates demand for the US dollar while also simultaneously being leveraged by banks which creates more US dollars that are then reinvested in "safe" American investments like microshit that is considered safer to invest in then most governments
