My question is pretty much the same as this post's subject title: how is it that there's literally nothing being done about the fact that your country (and western hemisphere in general) is controlled by a bunch of child-raping, baby-eating billionaires? We are closing in on nearly a year since the Epstein files first dropped, and to say that the broader reaction to them is underwhelming would be a colossal understatement. Any momentum it generated, if there ever was any, effectively got diluted into memes, and that's about it.The reason I find it so shocking is that I genuinely thought this would be the one topic that would zap people out of their coma, a unifying issue that will electrify the general populace into denouncing the current running order of things. Instead, it got sidelined as if it was basically a seasonal trend akin to fucking skibidi toilet, or italian brainrots or whatever. To add insult to injury - not before - AFTER the files dropped, U.S. started a new war on behalf of Israel, sending people to die for these same types responsible for fabricating conflicts in the first place. And instead of developing a laser-sharp focus on getting rid of these parasites, you instead get new culture war issues like the Lindsay Clancy thrown into the spotlight? All while pigeon-holing memory of events in the relatively recent past, as if they didn't quite literally steal 2-3 years off of everyone's life during the pandemic for basically jackshit.
