And what I've figured out is that when there was a lot less shilling, that you could make a thread like yours and random (actual regualar anons) might bump it. What we see now, with the circlejerk general threads and shill campains is that they all co-ordinate off site, and bump their threads, so regular threads like yours just slide off the board, even though the activity is dropping. That's why the board *feels* faster (like there were just a lot of threads at the time you made yours and people don't see yours).
