Anyone who regularly drives already knows this. I have to refill my car so much more often now it's insane.

The good thing about gasoline shortages is there will be far less ZOGbot cops patrolling the streets.
:D

It's a version of coin clipping and currency debasement in a petrodollar economy.

>We'll make gas cheaper
>By diluting your gas with an expensive corn byproduct
>That we'll make cheap at the pump
>Through subsidies that cost you far more in both taxes and inflation.
I'm tired of 'winning' bros.

Giving money to oil and gas CEOs is based. Solar panels and electric cars are woke and trans. If you dont like it move to Russia.
>>
Alcohol doesn't lube your engine as it runs. Gas does. It'll fuck up your engine over time shortening it's life.
>>
>>543587158
Imagine if some hooligans wanted gas prices to get worse by lighting gas stations on fire everywhere like its BLM
>>
>>543587539
Didn't think about it that way, if the cost of gas increases 100% openly then orange kike is cooked.
>>
>>543587158
So basically, you fucker are paying for fucking WATER!!

HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Country of cucks, Trump is fucking you hard.
>>
>>543587886
Wut? Gasoline doen't "lube" your engine, retard, that's why you put oil in it, fucking dumbass. Unless it's diesel, that shit lubes.

And the oil companies will make more money on selling additives. Pic rel is going to be in high demand.

>>543587886
all part of the plan. cars like smartphones, upgrade every year or two or you're a poorfag
>>
E15? So I guess they're upping ethanol content to 15%
If you're driving a relatively new car you should be fine but you'll be getting less miles for the same amount of fuel
If you're driving an older car the engine may not be able to work with it
Consult your manual

This is a Biden era thing. E15 was approved under Biden.
Fuck trump and fuck miggers all day, but this e15 shit was done under Biden you lying faggot.
>>
>>543590531

Why doesn't he stop it then, retard? Oh right because Trump is a lying Zionist fucking faggot
>>
>>543590531
You can't tell me it hasn't gotten worse post-Strait of Hormuz closure though. I have to get gas now once a week whereas before it was once every two weeks and I'm driving the same amount every day in my commute.
>>
>>543590601
why does he need to stop it? Just don't fucking buy it. Most gas stations around me stopped selling it long ago because no one was fucking buying it.
>>
>>543587158
I've lost 30-40% mpg this year. I replace parts and fix things and it never goes back up. Also, I use a Bluetooth OBD reader and it stopped being able to calculate Ethanol percent. It shows all gas as 0% no matter what I pick and it used to be really accurate. I don't think it's E15, there is something else going on

I brought this up in /pig/ like a month ago and got dogpiled by all kinds of Jewish feds telling me to "take my meds." Good that they let you know whenever you're over the target.

This also destroys most gasoline engines in America. It is no coincidence that they're pricing everybody out of petrol and computer parts, which are the two things every faction needs to wage resistance against a government captured by Jewish pedophiles.
>>
>>543587158
yeah tough shit but we have to defeat Iran and my gasoline being a bit watered down is a price i am willing to pay to protect America from terrorists unlike you cowards
>>
>>543591588
I don't think it destroys most newer engines, as they were designed for a certain portion of ethanol to be used anyway. Going back to like 2005, I want to say?

Keep in mind, ethanol has been a major fuel source in Brazil since the 1970s.
>>
Wait are the libtards mad about this? They were all happy about gas prices going up because they wanted to force us into their dumb and gay electric cars. Now that it's an election year they're super duper pissed about high gas prices.
I hate libtoids so much.
>>
>>543587981
The ethanol eats away at all the seals in the engine though, that part is definitely true.
>>
>>543587638
The ethanol subsidy issue alone prove that this country's political system is retarded beyond redemption and should be destroyed.
>>
>>543592390
>They were all happy about gas prices going up because they wanted to force us into their dumb and gay electric cars.
Yeah, no. Zion Don killed the EV rebate, remember? So he made them increasingly unaffordable to the sections of the population for whom rising fuel costs would be more likely to affect. The clear purpose here is for him and others within the capitalist class who are invested in oil majors to extract more profit from captive consumers.
>>
>>543592124
Gas contains like 10-15% ethanol since it's safe but raising the volume will cause problems to injection system and pistons since it's corrosive and only special engines are designed to run on it

The ethanol subsidy was in the works before the shale boom. As was the GM EV1 project. The PNGV program, etc.
>>
>>543592673
I have an old beater (1999) that I am definitely seeing worse mileage in. And now the engine is making a noise, so I'm not dismissing you.

But I'm pretty sure newer engines, like 2005 on, are designed to take a higher % of ethanol than 15%. The other car (2007) is a flexfuel thing, I think it said e85 on it, so it can run even on that even though you can't buy that here.
>>
>>543588095
A drive a 2006 Mitsubishi eclipse. I paid it off 17 years ago. I have 400,000 miles on it and I don't want a car payment

Will I be ok
>>
>>543587886
I think you're thinking of when they took lead out of fuel or just hallucinating or something. Ethanol doesn't do shit to the engine. Maybe over time, the rubber parts of the fuel system but nothing internal. With that said, it's still shit fuel and generates less energy per volume even with a higher octane rating. It's also less efficient at getting abos high.
>>
>>543592830
>I'm pretty sure newer engines, like 2005 on, are designed to take a higher % of ethanol than 15%.
Can and should are two different things. At 15% ethanol you will get worse MPG and your engine will get a massive amount of carbon build up. Also the motor oil will deteriorated quicker. E15 is designed to kill your engine well before 100k miles.
>>
>>543592830
could they be doing something to diesel too? any mechanic fag can give their input on this?
>>
>>543587539

>checks flag
>said something retarded
>yep it's the covidstralians
>Ethanol absorbs water from the air easily, which can lead to rust in metal tanks or phase separation (where water and ethanol separate from the gasoline and pool at the bottom)
>High concentrations of alcohol can degrade older rubber seals, plastic hoses, and specific metal components not built to handle it. Modern cars use resistant materials, but older or small-engine equipment (like lawnmowers) can suffer from cracked or swollen fuel lines
>Global regions standardizing E20 state that vehicles manufactured prior to April 2023 are not officially calibrated or certified for 20% blends, though real-world testing shows minimal immediate damage.
>Why is there a β€œwaiver”? Normally, the EPA bans E15 from June to September because ethanol evaporates faster than gas. In the summer heat, that extra 5% of corn juice turns into smog-forming pollution faster than standard gas.
It's shit for your engine and seals. Have fun getting a new head gasket to save Mister Goldberg 5 cents.

well i know in europe you guys have emulsified diesel. i don't know how common it is, but that is literally water blended into diesel with additives to keep it emulsified. i think its more for older engines that don't have modern filter systems.
>>
>>543593386
i wouldn't say it is irrelevant. it explains why it seems like there is this contradictory approach to energy policy in the US. so that's why ethanol was started -- same as Brazil started their program after the oil embargo (and France did their nuclear, and we instituted CAFE standards).

And so they created this corn ecosystem and don't really have any good ideas to change it up. Or vested interests don't want to expend the capital to change it up and just want the status quo. The end result is the same.

There's really no other reason to end the EV rebate. As the sovereign issuer of the US dollar, the federal government can't run out of them. And as EVs engage in active demand destruction (you aren't buying petroleum fuels and they require less maintenance) they are intrinsically deflationary.

It's illegal to own a nice vehicle in America. We can't buy any Chinese EV or import one. We can't have a Toyota Hilux. I remember my high school buddy in the long long ago pissed he couldn't ever get a skyline.
Our choices are Ford, GM, and Hondas/Toyotas assembled badly by spics.
But again no good models. Something cheap and reliable like the Kia Picanto? Nope. I'd say a solid 1/4 of vehicles are not allowed to be sold here. We can't even have light trucks thanks to Obama's gas mileage bull shit that Donny never repealed which is why ever truck is a giga nigger monstrosity.
>>
>>543594019
Hell no. I live in the plains so an EV would not be practical. Besides I love my truck and I can afford gas regardless.
>>
>>543594641
>pissed he couldn't ever get a skyline
They never made them in left hand drive anyway. In most states here you can't register a left hand drive car unless it's over 30 years old so that's how long cunts had to wait for a Corvette until recently when some specially shops started doing RHD conversions. I'd imagine it was much the same over in your neck of the woods.
>>
>>543594225
Most cars here a hybrid and people usually use ethanol because it's cheaper, specially now. Ethanol sub products are water and co2
>>
>>543595359
Lol
There's no such thing as perfect combustion, specially with cheap/old/poorly maintained cars
>>
It's diluted enough with E15. My crackpipe theory is it's not just about money but to destroy the engines of older cars with no globohomo electronics.
>>
>>543587158
Think about the reasons why you own a car. What are they?
>>
>>543595359
I'm not saying it's perfect. I'm saying it pollute less than gas and unlike oil we don't depend on other countries.
>>
>>543595569
that would make sense if they didn't have a completely separate pump handle, colored in blue with a big sign saying "E15" and warning signs about using it in older cars. A handful of gas stations near me started selling this stuff a few years ago and they all stopped because no one was buying it. This whole thread is just retards worrying about something pointless because no one who isn't retarded is "accidentally" putting E15 in their car.
>>
>>543594375
Why are you so one dimensional? Datacenters mean leccy is the new unobtanium.

We don't get the big signs or individual ethanol listing, just a little sticker saying "may contain up to 15% ethanol" on the pump itself. A major chain in my province is full on E15, and the rest are slated to go that way by 2030.

In Canada when we first went over $1 per litre they had a similar issue, but they just moved the decimal place over and stopped using fractions of a cent in the price (always remembering to round up, of course).
