In 10 days the world changes forever
>>
I won't even notice. Or care

Pretty sure I got this, let me try.
Where's the tillar of this broken state?
Washington DC by the big statue of Ba'aal and Remphan in front of the Theater with the quartz pillars?

Spoiler alert: It changes forever every second.

No one will. Optimus is decades behind Boston Dynamics.

it won't

If a robot can do the dishes and laundry then… it’s just a maid without having to have a random Hispanic lady in the house. That doesn’t actually shatter reality except for the fact most people can’t have (or don’t want) one.

If it can do more complex tasks like actual work for construction etc this particular frame is not really built for any serious labor either. Eventually there will be more robots out there doing more and more tasks that were human only but will they all be an Optimus, no. They will specialized for each role, like a construction bot should have multiple types in of itself - a lifter bot have an extra arm or two to help hold things, an extra brace / leg to help it under heavy load etc. a robot doing hammering should have just a nail gun for a hand instead of a mechanical humanoid hand holding one. The humanoid hand has however many extra hundreds of parts that all will wear down and break, fuck that just have it mount the tool. But the lifter bot would need some sort of clasper or manipulator to help secure stuff it is lifting, probably just claws or forklift-like appendages. Etc. note that Optimus is none of this and neither are those Chinese robots. That future logically will come eventually but these faggots making movie prop toys can get bent. This shit ain’t it.

>In 10 days the world changes forever

TOTAL ROBOT DEATH
>>
>>543596871
The first generations of robots like this aren't about being autonomous, they're about remote control. It's the ultimate corporate hack for never having to pay high western salaries. Imagine if you just paid Guatemalans $5/day to control your fleet of robots remotely to do car repairs or whatever kind of manual labor. Midwits see this and think
>oH WoW cAN iT Do mY LaUNdRy?
rather than understand they're looking at the first stage of the death of manual human labor
>>
>>543594978
We will never see these on the streets. They will have the same impact like those automatic lawn mowers. They have no function other than standing in someone's laundry room folding clothes
>>
uh huh

has the same vibe as the Segway hype in the late '90s. do any old homos remember that? i remember ads that were like "it will change walking forever". then southpark did that spoof of it.
elon promised that teslas that could drive you from LA to NYC with zero interventions were less than a year away in 2015! and great job with DOGE, btw--lots of people went to jail and theres like no fraud now.
>>
>>543597202
you will see them trained to be ninjas soon and they will be the bodyguards of people like elon and mark zuckerfag
>>
>>543597297
kek the only person I ever saw on a segway was an airport cop and he looked really embarrassed to be on it
>>
>>543596871
If the price was right and the tech was there, I'd buy a robot slave that can do chores. But by the time I decide to get one in a decade, it'll be able to do or assist with repairs. Imagine your own little robot slave that sets up the christmas lights and puts away the thanksgiving stuff.
>>
>>543596738
It's got opposable thumbs, and functional fingers.
That's generally enough to hold whatever gun we put into it's hands.
Thus the basic answer is whenever we get around to scripting the mod.

I haven't read it but wasn't the book about NPC and not really robot? Then the Hollywood jew made Bladerunner completely missing the point.

There's some guy who rides through my neighborhood with it sometimes. The type with no handle. He's smart enough to wear a motorcycle helmet with it, I think he's doing it as a hobby
>>
>>543598473
A month or so back I saw a guy on one of those Chinese single wheeled segways. He was wearing full protective gear and looked like he was taking what he was doing very seriously.

>In 10 days the world changes forever
Just another rich person toy. Chinese humanoids went commercial years ago. This is just the expensive version of that.

>muh factories
They use automation designed for a given process, humanoid robots wont be a significant tool for factory automation. The humanoid concept is illogical as human labor is already dirt fucking cheap so why would you massproduce something like that? The argument that the world is designed for humans so humanoid robots can easily interject themselves into the value chain is flawed since humans are already treated like shit.

Its just another rich people toy not some revolution in automation
>>
>>543598349
Follow me where? To the couch to watch me play Switch and eat tendies?
>>
>>543598624
Yeah. Isn't the future great? Wasn't it worth all the investment?
>>
>>543596871
>The humanoid hand has however many extra hundreds of parts that all will wear down and break, fuck that just have it mount the tool
This is how you know it's just a scam for boomer investors. Humanoid robots are crazy complicated, therefore crazy expensive and crazy fragile for no real purpose other than to tickle the boomer sci-fi bone. Worker bots, servant bots, military bots, sex bots, will never replace the Joses, Rosalinas, Trayvons and Svetlanas. It just makes no financial sense.
>>
>>543598595
>The humanoid concept is illogical as human labor is already dirt fucking cheap so why would you massproduce something like that?
Because it can be remotely controlled so it can theoretically work non stop until something breaks. Imagine paying some Indian guy $20 to do some menial manual labor job remotely for 12 hours, then he switches shifts with the next guy who works for 12 hours etc. It's the ultimate outsourcing tool
>>
>>543598784
This is all pipedream bullshit. No humanoid robot is even remotely close to the productivity of a human when it comes to real world shit and won't be for the foreseeable future.
>>
>>543598531
For all I know it could be the same guy. I've only spotted him a couple of times so maybe he's riding in a different country every day
>>
>nons will be rounded up and deported by an army of tesla robots
GOD PLEASE
>>
>>543594978
Too fragile to do lawn work.
Too hydrophobic to wash dishes.
Too blind to clean the house.
Too clumsy to cook or deliver real food. Maybe it can managed an unopened canned drink, as long as it doesn't hold it long enough to get condensation in it's electric fingers.
Too blind and clumsy and stealable to go out to buy groceries.
Too masculine to fap to.
Too weak and uncoordinated to repair your car.
Will record your home layout and anything you say, so that the data can be sold and/or used to program chat bots.

You can maybe ask it trivia questions or about the weather? You may as well have just got an Amazon Echo.
>>
>>543599119
In my job I can go from climbing up and down ladders to driving a forklift to fixing bikes in the space of five minutes. Ain't no Tesla bullshit robot doing any of those jobs lmao.
>>
>>543599353
They will probably to to make them run the front desk at hotels. Just sitting there to say hello and maybe hand out keys. And then they will get removed when they are unable to also act as low-level security to keep out vagrants.

>>
>>543594978
So what's gonna happen in 10 days?
Friendly reminder that these Tesla bots were said to be available for preorder since fall of last year.
>>
>>543598531
Those things can go super fast and are pretty sketchy, I don't blame him for wearing gear when riding it. I've seen a few of them, there's just no way to use it without looking like a douche
>>
>>543598784
Yes, now factor in upfront and maintenance costs.
Have you ever been in a construction site? Jose cleans himself, and if he doesn't it's not your problem. When his back breaks it costs you a "get well soon" card.
It's just indian CEOs scamming elite boomers.
>>
>>543594978
it's actually two weeks. October 15th 2026. And then again on October 26th 2026.
>>
>>543599689
Sounds kinda pointless compared to a bog standard bicycle, and I say that as a guy who skateboards to work.
>>
>>543598946
Depends on the labor. You'd be surprised how many jobs are basically look-busy button pushers that could pretty easily be replaced by remote controlled robots. I'm sure these will be garbage like everything else musk makes but every major tech company is investing in the tech right now so you're not that far away from a real explosion in first gen robots giving way to a spec race

What LLM are you running on a raspberry Pi? also if you think that Pi is truly airgapped when it has a proprietary wifi blob you aren’t smart enough to justify your paranoia. That being said the original concern about robots receiving OTA updates to enter kill mode is justified
>>
>>543599817
It's for people who are too poor to afford a motorcycle but too lazy to just ride a bike
>>
>>543600415
But an e-bike fills that role perfectly? Or just an e-scooter if you don't mind looking like a drug dealer.

>>543599861

>>
>>543599783
Have you ever been to a hotel?
>people standing at a check in counter pressing buttons and answering phones
>people carrying bags to rooms
>people cleaning rooms and changing sheets
>people delivering meals to rooms
>people doing basic yardwork
>people working a register
A ton of this work will be able to be replaced via remote controlled robots within the next decade. Not everybody and not all at once but if you don't think it'll happen in your lifetime you're retarded
>>
>>543600482
These are people who really wish they could ride motorcycles so they also get off on the gear they get to wear, etc. It's not about optimizing for their needs, it's an autism thing
>>
>>543600725
Riding a motorbike isn't difficult, retard.
>>
>>543594978
>one highly specialized mechanical part wears down or breaks rendering the entire bot useless
That part will cost you $999 to replace + $300 labor for our technician to come to your home to fix + Tip.
>>
>>543600485
It would be so fucking funny if the engineers made the optimus robots with this body shape to troll elon
>>
>>543600772
I never said it was, genius. I said they're too broke &/or scared to ride a real motorcycle so they get these 1 wheeler things and get all suited up to make themselves feel better.
>>
>>543600903
Except those one wheeled shits are far more difficult to control than a motorbike. They're intentionally doing something difficult. Maybe they enjoy the challenge. Like I said I skateboard to work so I kinda get it, though I haven't seen him since so maybe he realised he looks fucking stupid doing it.
>>
>>543594978
I dont care about robotics until it is capable of cooking a gourmet meal for me.
>>
>>543600647
In high end hotels the staff is part of the experience you pay for. Lack of human interaction is an air b'n'b thing. And you don't need a humanoid robot to answer phones, work the register or mow the lawn. Automation is a thing, humanoid robots are boomer sci-fi scams.
Regardless, how much do you think such a robot will cost? If you think they'll ever be cheaper than a starving pleb you're the retard.
>>
>>543600002
Deepseek, Qwen and one other character heavy one I forget the name of. Had to move some files on a sd card to it but I just dont want it talking to the outside world at all, only downside is the dataset is a year or two behind and there are some limits on what it can do. Did it so I could have some kind of sexy chatbot to talk to and didn't want any chance of a record getting out.

>proprietary wifi blob
You can desolder it out.
