We can't even repair our own bridges after they collapse, what makes you think we have the logistics needed to run even just all of north america, much less anything beyond that? You wouldn't enjoy it even if we did take over all of that territory. Annexing the nation of Canada alone would flood the US with so many voters that are left of the democrats that the republicans would cease to exist as a relevant political entity, and thats before you get into the absolute shitfit that you'd throw when all of the mexicans are just american citizens now.

Our roads are nice and unlike either of those countries it is shocking when the power goes out. We have the wealth and power to do what we want. We just need to stop cutting taxes for those with the most and expand our imperial lands out. There are many assets of human capital, and natural resources we can take from those lands to create a 3rd american golden age. We are the wealthiest country by far and can continue far into the future.
