They removed that one tree because it was growing in the center of the sidewalk for some reason.

Insurance companies began deploying drones to find trees taller than the house that were near the house and sent out letters to remove the trees COMPLETELY or theyd cancel their policy. Happened to majority of my suburb in Houston/Sugarland area atleast.

A bunch of people moved around a lot in 2020 after travel restrictions started lightening up, which created a bunch of new construction neighbors which don't have trees. Also a lot of these new houses were built in places where trees don't actually grow that much. So the average treenees of the American neighborhood has decreased significantly.

>Why was every tree removed during COVID?

It wasn't. The reason why new developments don't have trees is that its cheaper to not put them in. The long term property value of the place is much higher with the trees; but since the trees aren't grown to a height to affect the property value when the developers lay out the suburb they don't bother because it won't make them money.

This is just confirmation bias because suddenly the suburbs were filled with ungrateful first generation immigrant liberals who think the suburbs is "hell on earth" or some such faggotry. So now you're seeing pictures of newly built suburbs posted negatively
