Canada fast tracks a new crude oil pipeline from Alberta to Canada's West Coast that will push more of Canada's oil away from U.S. refineries. China is expected to buy 70% of Canadian crude oil exports after pipelines expand capacity by a third by the end of 2028.

That's a BIG dumk truck!

To add serious overseas capacity would require either a pipeline to the BC north coast (which makes greens go crazy at the prospect of a spill in the remote area), or perhaps an export route via Hudson Bay (which would be a MASSIVELY expensive undertaking). AFAIK shipping capacity into the lower mainland of BC is very limited.
>>
That was planned a long time ago, this is sensationalism, and has nothing to do with our exports to the USA.

>China is expected to buy 70% of Canadian crude oil exports after pipelines expand capacity by a third by the end of 2028.
Their math is retarded. The US currently imports 11x what China does from Canada, their two pipelines to Vancouver are already at capacity, expanding it by a third does not add up to 70% of exports unless they somehow believe they are cutting the US off (they can't, 60% of the Canadianoil industryis US owned).

giant dump trucks are fucking cool I wonder how much dirt that thing can carry

They're building an entire new pipeline AND expanding other pipelines.

>antagonizing allies for no reason drives them into the arms of the worlds new industrial hub
Wow no shit, it's almost like everyone with half a fucking brain said this would happen.

You have two paths forward, you can assume that:
>everyone in politics is mentally challenged
or
>everyone in politics benefits from this financially somehow

It's all a scam so the government can federalize (take ownership) of Alberta's oil before a pipeline can be built. Alberta is going to separate and this is how the feds will ensure we remain broke. Watch and see.

Canada was already becoming an Asian globo-colony anyway.

Capitalism is the death of nations. It's no better than Communism. All it cares about is maximizing profits and keeping the green arrows going up. Even at the expense of a country's people. Oh, right, I forgot, thanks to liberalism and capitalism, there is no such thing as Canadians, English, Americans, Germans, etc., they're all just... IDEAS. So pucker up, Canadians, your future and resources aren't yours anymore, it's India and China's.

Honestly the whole West is fucked. Previous generations let foreigners into our midst who bribed and brainwashed our society leaders into selling out their own people and countries for the promise of wealth. Just about every western country is infected with traitorous politicians and corporations. They all HATE the idea of nations and want to run our countries like corporations instead.

California is smart too by reducing oil consumption via fast tracking to EV adoption. It's been working for decades, and even refineries are shutting down because the demand isn't there.

The article is dumb and the writer didn't do their homework. China isn't buying 70%. South Korea is a major investor in this project and is building the terminals. They are going to be the largest Asian buyer.
