Huge number of people live outwith their means.
Subscribed to every streaming service. Car they can't afford on finance. Takeaways several times a month. Latest iphone. The most expensive gym membership on the market.
It's a simple fact that previous generations didn't spend money on bullshit like this, because it didn't exist. Yet zommlenials just keep blaming the economy, boomers,etc... for being financially irresponsible.

None of these things improve your life at all.

>It's never been easier to pirate films/tv/music than it is today
>You can literally cook takeaway food at home and it tastes better and is a fraction of the price, make your own fucking burrito
>Dont need a gym, buy a couple of kettlebells and go for a run
>Buy a used car that you can actually afford
>Buy a cheap android outright, no contract

tldr: you're just an entitled spoiled brat that needs to be drafted and be sent to the front lines. Maybe war will make a man out of YOU

25% of US household make over $150k. Yes lots of people are in debt but anyone 45 and up and reasonably not retarded already has a house from pre covid and is swimming in equity and 401k gains. My state is still in a heat wave so my neighbors haven't even put their rvs and boats into winter storage yet. The boomers never put them away and follow the college team on a traveling tailgate.

>It's a simple fact that previous generations didn't spend money on bullshit like this, because it didn't exist

I disagree, keeping up with the Joneses has always been a thing. Probably the reason microwaves, and summer camps are a thing. People should want nice things, people shouldn’t want nice things for free, otherwise what value does it have? When I was younger I was at a lot of trade shows, some for the church, others for like hemophiliacs for some reason. Whether it was the church or a pharmaceutical company every booth was handing out free SWAG(stuff we all get). Sometimes I laugh thinking there are people nowadays who would sell their soul for free swag and a chance to win tickets to a baseball game. I guess I’d go on to say at least maybe at church there’s a chance you find that narrow road that leads to salvation. People should want jobs good enough to afford a house, afford a car, afford the latest and greatest tech, be able to take a woman out to dinner and splurge so hard you might find a wife. You shouldn’t want all that for free, and plus not get laid on top of it all, otherwise what value does it have, and who would want it? Turn the American dream into free SWAG and what you’re left with ain’t no dream of anyone but those who wish to control you and leave you destitute

Im never going to own a home or retire or any of that shit, my plan at this point is to die on the clock whenever that may be, or just blow my fucking brains out one day when i wake up and cant get out of bed because im too sick or injured to carry on

Why not live a little, rack up some debt, i aint having no kids that will inherit it

Yeah I don’t really understand people overseasoning their food with mystery powders either. Give me some salt, pepper, and a whole bulb of roasted garlic, maybe some chives straight from the garden every so often, and butter and I never have to sprinkle mystery powders on my food. Don’t need any hot sauce with a weird occult sounding name either, keep that shit as far away from my food as possible, as a matter of fact keep anything with names like Liquid Death as far away as possible too. Don’t get me started on some of the creatine brands I see, glad I stopped taking that shite years ago.

Median individual income is like $50k/yr.

>1 bedroom apartment $1500/month + taxes and jew fees
>Utilities $100-150/month
>Internet ($60-140/month - apartments don't even give you a choice on what your internet plan is anymore due to jewmaxxing)
>food $400-500/month
>car will vary from person to person, but most people are debtmaxxing
>car insurance (mine is $150/month for comprehensive coverage)

In total, probably around $30k-$32k/yr baseline living costs. Pretty much after taxes, you have $40k/yr to split between these costs. Basically, you gotta have a 2nd income or else you're just going to be on the poverty treadmill.

She made like 6 meals worth, but doubled them up? So she only meal prepped for 3 days. In less than half a week you're going to have to meal prep again. Now, that's not really "meal prep"ping is it? Also who is eating all that in one go? Or are you reheating the rice over and over again over the course of 1 day? Everyone knows that rice is the most microwave friendly food to reheat, let alone multiple times over a day or two keeeeeekkk.

The affordability crisis is primarily due to housing and groceries being obscenely expensive. Subscription services and cell phones are ridiculously cheap for that they offer. Having 3 streaming services might slow you raising enough money to make a 20% down payment on a home by 3 months. Housing and groceries need to be less than half of what they are to be affordable/allow you to live as the boomers did.
>>
>>543652161
That $8k/yr spread is usually going to student loan debt and/or auto loans. Rising cost of living too. $8k/yr isn't really that much either. Someone with $100k invested is going to make more than just by existing.

>>543652305
I'm doing alright, I have my main W2 job making about 72k/yr. Business doing ~$15-20k/yr. Dividends from QQQI and SCHD as well.

>>
>>543653246
And you realize that in order to prepare for burst energy situations you have to train your body to be able to burst at repeatable intervals as often as possible. Therefore, in order to run that 1.25 to 1.5 miles a game, while competing with others trying to keep you from doing so, you're going to need to train.

What sport did you train in? Even as a youth? Nothing? Sounds about right.

The minimum wage of $2.10 an hour in 1975 had the same spending power as earning $65 an hour in today's economy.
