LET THAT SINK IN
>>543656044how the fuck is a GPU an export controlled item? so utterly insane how nonsense ITAR/EAR is.
>>543656044I super pink promise I won't sell it (pouty face) kek
We are in an AI war
>>543656104>how is the thing that makes super intelligence(formerly artificial intelligence) work a controlled export?
>>543656104>chinese get it>reverse engineer it>zoobedoobee
>>543656104Glowniggers doing firenigger things.Shameful americans.
>>543656044Shouldve bought a litography machine and built a clean room faggot
>>543656232oh fuck off. most this shit is insanely overhyped. daily reminder, things like GPS jamming were "solved" ages ago, but it was locked behind MUH EXPORT CONTROL despite the fact that letting civilians not get buttfucked by durkas and Russia is objectively a good thing.export control is basically just another economic terror weapon that was intended to suppress China's 90s Long March Satellite launch business.
>>543656044They dont want the Chinese to have sick ray-traced graphics.
>>543656240>reverse engineerthey can already get samples, what are they gonna glean from delidding and using a microscope to get pictures of the raw chips? basically nothing. the scale of these parts is nuts. The appropriate Chinese resources know how to make a GPU, the problem more stems from smaller IP fine details and the marketability of a product that would be "banned" anywhere that respects US sanctions or the Berne Convention in terms of IP "theft"
>>543656240no the Chinese have no way of obtaining a graphic card ever unless some gamer in the usa resells theirs!
>>543656044They want people who own powerful GPU's on a list, this has nothing to do with exports
It's not a gaming GPU. It's AI hardware and it belongs in a datacenter.
>>543656044The jews and Palankike and Big Tech need more information for their complete open air prison 15 minute city police state
>>543656318yes it's overhyped, and also blatant collusion between amd and nvidia. but it is one of the biggest bubbles the world has ever seen and they are going to bounce on it until it pops. amd is the real problem here, imagine existing in an industry with only one competitor and refusing to add the one and only thing that would actually make your product viable.
>tell soon to be dirt granny to buy GPU>she fills out the kikes paper of nonsense>walks out with the bag>gives it to you>"thank you, granny. I love youuuu">drive home and install>she passes out watching 80s sitcoms>4 pm dinner
>>543656044So now there is a list someone can get and steal these. Great idea. Wonder which rabbi thought this up? Better yet, this company should be hacked and all this personal info released. Wouldn't that just suck? Doesn't Tesla do something like this as well? You have to follow their rules or they fuck you in the ass with a robotic niggerdick? Frankly if you have to sign anything or show any form of ID to purchase anything, well... Good luck out there, whippersnapper.
>Keep it in the country goy>We certainly won't seize it one day, no way!
>>543656044THANKS TRUMP
>>543658516the only way they can catch up is with a proper software suite. Even Intel is buttfucking them on that front.
>>543656044KNÖCK KNÖCKYOUR GÄMING RIG IS NOW GUBBERMENTAL PROBBERDY :DDDDDDDDD
>>543656240>chinese get itwho do you think makes it?
>>543659163nvideo gpus are made by TSM, which is taiwanese.
>>543656104>utterly insane how nonsense ITAR/EAR isAgreed>want to purhase firearm from gunbroker from a gun store in az>have to go through a 3rd party importer>wait an ungodly amount of time and pay cuck fees and make sure everything is compliant itar wise and said gun has to be inspected with everything sent off to xyz govt agency like i can understand with american parts/rifles but the fun i bought wasn't even manufactured in burgerland
>>543656044unenforceable bs to punish trump supporters. you don't have to sign or show identification to buy an export controlled product, i wouldve just left and went somewhere else
>>543656044*Laughs in Marketplace and TigerDirect*You lost General Zod
>He didn't buy a killswitch free non ID requiring GPUYou had a chance, had.Seriously though, this kind of stuff just signals that the demand is flying through the roof as now everyone competes for the high end stuff. It will soon extend to the mid and lower range GPUs.
>>543659636there will come a point when if you are caught harvesting pentium III chips without reporting them it will be a crime punishable up to 20 years now that over 95% of the world is completely dependent on technology they will throttle it as a "priviledge" you must "earn" by getting social credit and showing "compliance" to re earn "points" you can use to keep your fridge running.they got you addicted, now its time to pay for your "milk"
>>543656044>Land of the fre-ACK
>>543656044i don't get it
>>543656044>ID and government contract to prevent GPU smuggling Holy shit
It's just a worthless piece of paper.Sign it and export anyways.Fucks lil uncle samuel gonna do?
>>543659145They weren't wrong making that assumption.PS3 was used by the military.
>>543656044The champions of capitalism
>>543660097Sony knew goddamn well what they were building.
>>543656104You LOST, tranny
>>543656104What the fuck rock have you been living under? Chinese faggots have been scooping up GPUs and mailing them overseas to sell on the black market. There's been at least 2 big name youtubers doing undercover work revealing how it works. That causes GPUs to be more expensive for consumers, and causes data centers to be more expensive to build. Expensive data centers mean more grants being given to them by the government which comes out of the taxpayers, which comes out of the communities and makes everything more expensive all-around. The world revolves around the US, thus this causes the entire world to become less stable.>But we shouldn't be funding data centersI agree, but we are, and this measure prevents costs from spiraling out of control.>>543656240>reverse engineerEveryone on the planet knows how a GPU works. They can't manufacture them because they can't manufacture the factories capable of manufacturing the required chips. They just don't have the technology to manufacture such factories. They will in 10-15 years, but we'll be 10-15 years ahead of where we are now. They don't need 100,000 samples to learn how to manufacture GPUs. They need a decade to sort out the (reliable) manufacturing process of progressively smaller parts. The GPUs they buy are going to PCs and data centers.
>>543656240A piece of paper ain't gonna prevent that. I don't even think a lawsuit will prevent that. China steals IP all the time
>>543659163The vast majority of computer electronics are made in countries that are not China. People who buy Chinese components are probably talking about RAM, as DRAM chips are virtually the only thing they've produced in large numbers. Even then, they are still notoriously short-lived, and no longer have a supply to sell overseas due to sending it all to their data centers. You are probably more familiar with cheap Chinese mice and keyboards, though.
>>543656044Just steal it lol
>>543656240>Chinese get itThose cards are assembled in chinese factories, retard.
>>543659288Nvidia's CARDS (and those of other sellers in the space) are assembled in China, retard. Foxconn puts the final pieces together assembling the product.
>>543664164>The vast majority of computer electronics are made in countries that are not China. And yet final PCB assembly almost always happens in China.
>>543659288>Taiwan is in Florida, nigga!
>>543665272the US has a lot of weird cities so I had to check if there really was a Taiwan, florida.
Here in mexico we now have to register our government ID to our phone numbersit's so fucking over
>>543656240That shit is assembled in China already bro. They have full access to it at any time.
>>543667109they don't.
>>543667380>China doesn't have access to the Foxconn factory in Wuhan, ChinaSure bro. And the virus came from the bat market in Wuhan, Taiwan, right?
