The legendary Yugo is planned to make a comeback with a modern, retro-inspired Yugo Revival project targeting a full-prototype debut at the Expo 2027 in Belgrade.

Croatian RTL: It will be manufactured by Serbs and Chinese and it will be the most affordable hybrid in Europe.

The new Yugo is officially returning as a stylish, affordable car with a starting target price of around 12,000 euros, and the launch of a working prototype is planned for Expo 2027 in Belgrade. The project to revive the iconic Yugoslav brand is led by Serbian entrepreneur and professor of economics from Germany, Dr. Aleksandar Bjelic, who secured the international rights to the Yugo name, while Serbian designer Darko MarÄŤeta is in charge of the retro-modern design.

Drive and economy: Instead of an all-electric drive, the car will initially use a highly efficient hybrid system with range extender technology. The internal combustion engine will work exclusively as a generator to charge the battery, and an extremely low fuel consumption of only 2.2 liters per 100 kilometers has been announced. Versions with classic gasoline engines and manual transmission have also been announced.

Production and platform: The technical base of the car will use the proven platform of an established industrial partner, and due to the price there is speculation about cooperation with Chinese manufacturers

Neat. Cute design. Unfortunately very chinkish

holy cow they nailed it. the car expresses all prejudices I have about Yugoslavia with shape and form. muscle, little bit gangster, small dick energy, way too big ego (rims) nose retraced (genetic defects) - wow, now I need to see the Indio.

>>543659137
Why do they need Chinese manufs? How did they build the 80s model?
>>
>>543659374
The factory in which it will be produced already exists and currently produces Fiat Grande Pandas, as the only country in which they're produced.

It uses 150000/300000 for Grande Panda production, and half of it remains empty and will likely be used for Yugo, since the government of Serbia owns the majority of the factory, while Dutch Stelantis, which owns Fiat, owns a minority stake.p

yugo was huge shit, this chink shit is also shit!
>>
>>543659637
Because there's no cheap manufacturing left here anymore, average salary is 1k EUR, all low cost production is done in China now.

I believe it will be a mix of Serbian and Chinese manufacturing, we have battery factories here opened by the Chinese, but some parts will have to be imported from China

You are a retard.

Yugo was built with the idea of it being the cheapest car one could buy. With that in mind, it was a great and reliable car with great servicing. You can still see yugos around.

Because (like Ladas and other commie cars) they were cheap family cars with poor quality control and that mostly competed with the horse and cart. Yugos were so cheap that some owners treated them as disposable and didn't even maintain them properly, so those broke down a lot.

Nice car. It would be a shame if it wouldn't fulfill the regulations or the emissions would be found to be too high to be sold in EU.

It means all of our neighbors', including the memeflag that posted that comment (Albanian) has it worse, since there are 7-10 million Albanians in the world, yet only 2 million live in Albania, and since we're talking about 10.8% vs 50% for Kosovo, or 40% for Albania.

It means everyone is facing a similar issue, and that it's irrelevant as technology will make up for it. It's like saying south Korea has no future because they have the lowest birth rate in the world. In reality, economic repercussions will be countered by technology making up the work force, and there will be a natural rise in births, as well as artificial due to technology allowing for births without women having to carry for 9 months.

Our industry was all sold to the west for pennies following the bombing of Serbia that caused $40-100 billion of 1990 USD in damages, or $100-200 billion of 2026 USD, once you adjust for inflation.

It's been a slow process of rebuilding everything that was destroyed in the bombing. Our GDP is still smaller than it was pre-bombing once you account for inflation.

We didn't fight for 10 years. Serbia was out in a year, after conquering 20% of Croatia in 9 months, because the US guaranteed us the existence of Srpska Krajina in Croatia, and the territorial integrity of all our land back then (which included Bosnia and Kosovo).

We then spent 4 years only sending military equipment and volunteers to VRS and the Army of Srpska Krajina, not being involved in the conflict directly since 1991. Basically what NATO is doing in Ukraine, is what we did back then. If we went all in and didn't trust the US and their agreements they violated, it'd all have been different.

Croatia fought Army of Srpska Krajina for 4 years after Serbia left in 1991, after conquering 20% of it in 9 months, and yet Croatia still had 2x more casualties with 4x more men, against untrained civilian army with Yugo gear, despite having a 2 billion $ budget themselves to purchase German, Italian and Soviet weapons, on top of 1/3 of all Yugoslavia gear. Also had western training and intelligence, and still 2x more casualties and 4x more men.

We fought 1v3 with PROXIES in 2 wars, and then later on 1v22 once Gayto got involved. Russia let us down, we were stronger than all our enemies, but Russia swapped sides, sanctioned us and sold weapons to our enemies, and provided no diplomatic support.

War between states has a legal definition, and since you said "Serbia" then you imply Serbia as a state and not just Serbs. The legal definition is then tested in courts, which it was in UN courts, where it was ruled that Serbia as a state was not involved enough past 1991. for it to be an interstate war. Insults, yet no understanding of legal definitions.

>>543669472
Selectively, which tells you what?

Or rather, why wasn't an american or a british solider ever tried in front of an international court for war crimes?
>>
>>543669727
I'm not asking the argument that it is perfect. Rather, I'm telling you it is not me interpreting anything and that war has a legal definition, which is then interpreted in international courts.

Of course, UN court was a politicized mockery of a court, where you were judged by Nu-Germans and Africans. But, they were politicized against Serbs, because US dictated things and they needed a moral justification to break the international law and constitution of a sovereign country. And yet, even they said there wasn't enough involvement for an interstate war.

You had 200k JNA troops doing nothing within borders of Serbia while wars were going on in Croatia and Bosnia. And then later on those same UN courts ruled that there was no genocide, or plans for genocide, in Kosovo, which was used as a justification to break the international law and bomb Serbia by 19 NATO different countries, led by the US.

So, while not perfect, legal definitions still matter.

You are autisticaly focusing on a singular thing that was a part of the historic process of puting the whole of eastern block under direct rule of western capital(except russia to some degree, but even that is debatebale)

The war against serbia involved military, psychological, and logistical operations that were in use to subjugare serbs insuch a manner that they could never organise to free themselves from theur colonial overlords and it lasted from 91. to 99. with yugoslavia as a sovrgein state, and it continued after the kumanovo capitulation as a war on serbian culture itself, which 27 years from now i have to declare total american victory, they managed to do to us in 27 years what turks couldn't in 380. To mold us in their image to such a degree that we don't see their rule over us as a threat to our very culture and way of life, but something that is glossed over like it isn't even there.

yeah but they also have pointless automated boot closing motors that just waste people's time and add pointless mass, neither of those "features" are progress or good design and immediate red flag on anything that has them

concealed door handles also make passenger rescue needlessly hard in the case of accidents, incidentally, your chances of surviving a serious accident in a car like that (such as a Tesla) are drastically lower than in a normal car that wasn't over-designed by " geniuses "

somehow the car concepts in 80s and 90s look more futuristic nad sci fi than modern cars,
modern cars only look "newer" and more "modern"
