communism's not just government spending. It about right of the citizen vs the government. Of course in the west our right are constantly eroded, but communism is hallmarked by the citizens having zero rights from government power.

Economic centralization, no internal free markets, no private property. A couple of other things too

You should give the examples.

virtually all countries in the West including the USA have at least the same or higher share of gdp spending than the bottom two

atheist liberalism.

There is no communism in China. The inviolability of private property is enshrined in their Constitution, and the country is as open as possible to foreign capital (true, due to the authoritarian bent of the authorities, the Chinese economy is risky for external investors, so China is mainly used as a platform for siting production facilities, where Chinese workers bust their asses); the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock exchanges are among the main ones in the world.

Communism, if fully implemented, should mean 100% government spending because it means 100% public ownership of everything

Yes, China is not communist now (I say it's fascist, but whatevs).
But the bigger-brain take is that it never even were.
> national capitalists
> national
> capital
And it's been there since the start.
Marx would've had a seizure if seeing a "communist" country like that.

would actually be cool if the money wasn't used to give retired boomers a higher salary than you average worker

>I though our shithole was irrelevant
our economy is slowly crashing down, social unrest is starting
>>

This is purely because of corruption and regulatory capture btw (a hallmark of capitalism). The government pays private firms to do what could be done by the government without gouging middlemen.

>atheist
Bingo!
Two pillars of Soviet power were the atheism (mostly just meaning antichristianity) and anti-nationalism expressed as oppression of the ethnic Russians.
That's why I hate it passionately.

Shouldn't it mean zero GDP (no money changing hands) to begin with?
