As of right now this seems to be completely overblown. It's a law that 18 year olds must register for 'select service' whatever the name is. It's part of the law. Whether or not they actually do it is up in the air. We absolutely are in weird times, and europe is trying to provoke a greater war with Russia. Some also believe we're already in WW3, but it's just not full on boots on the ground like you may imagine a world war being. I'd also note that people may think they're safe from the draft because of various reasons, but they don't just need soldiers. They need support staff too. They need people to cook, clean, run errands, etc. Anyone could serve if needed.
