America's fanatical belief in 18 adulthood age theory, especially in states like California & Florida where the Age of C0nsent is 18, has to do with the insane 21 drinking age. If the US Drinking Age was 18 like in a normal country, states where 18 is the Age of C0nsent would have to deal with hordes of 17 year olds sneaking into bars & clubs & hooking up with older people thus resulting in frivolous statutory rapoe charges.
