>Warsaw Police detected alarming online activity by a teenager who had been searching for information on how to carry out an attack at a shopping mall and kill a police officer. Law enforcement agencies took action to avert a potential threat.

>Authorities identified the individual searching for this concerning information as a 15-year-old Ukrainian national. Police officers conducted a search and seized the teenager's laptop and phone. The devices have been handed over to experts to secure data that may be relevant to the case.

>The teenager was brought before the District Court for Warsaw-Żoliborz and subsequently placed in a youth correctional facility, where he will remain for the forseeable future. A court will decide on his fate.

What the FUCK.
You can now be jailed for searching online.

Fugg. Do you think he's just a stupid kid or a serious threat?
>>
>>543686723
>a 15-year-old Ukrainian national
why are hohols like this?
>>
>Warsaw Police detected
detected how? I assume someone reported him. unless his ISP reported his searches?

>A court will decide on his fate.

>reached the age of consent

at least they're consistent unlike so many other countries
>>
>>543687061
Sounds like precrime. What was the offense? Probably talking to AI which is why the headline is vague.
>>
>>543686988
the further east the more materialistic people are and russians offer easy money to eastern diasporas for terrorist nonsense
>>543687061
it's almost as if we have a counterintelligence bureau
>>
>>543687103
>What was the offense?
it says in the headline
>>
>>543687061
this is why you change your DNS and use Brave.
otherwise I search "why are niggers so stupid?" and my ISP says "NOOOO SAAR you are doing a racism" and reports me to my traitorous authoritarian government who don't believe in free speech.
>>
>>543687061
He's from east ukraine and they're targeted by ruspidors for sabotage operations just like this, 99% sure he was under surveillance already.

Your ISP doesn't give a shit about what you do online and doesn't collect your info without a court order.

t. worked for an ISP for 4 years
>>
>>543687166
there is a hundred milion ways to fingerprint you between your browser id, your access point mac, associated accounts, habits, your backdoored operating system and hardware. dns and brave do fucking nothing.
>>
>>543687166
unless youre using dns over https/tls your isp can still spy on you
>>
>>543686723
Just send him to a mall in Moscow with a gun and let him do his thing.

>Your ISP doesn't give a shit about what you do online and doesn't collect your info without a court order.
maybe in finland where no one relevant lives but in the united states isps collect your data en masse to be sold to data brokers

Are you the hacker known as 4chan?
>>
>>543686723

How? You saying shitty ISPs in Pooland can break TLS at scale?
Some search provider had to rat him out first.
>>
>>543686813
There are a lot of teenage shooters so it wouldn't be a surprise. On the other hand, if he has a decent lawyer nothing will happen to him, just therapy. He could play it off as fantasy, etc
>>
>>543687166
>Brave
Is this enough? I honestly cant bother myself with turning on a proxy/vpn
>>
>>543686723
Yeah that's right.
Been a thing ever since online searching was a thing.
2012 NYPD ex cop was arrested known as the Cannibal Cop jailed. Literally just for ducking around.

dns requests are unencrypted by default retard
>>
>>543690468
obviously not, brave does fuck all for privacy other than replacing some ad networks tracking with brave's own proprietary bullshit tracking and break sites in the least predictable way
all the privacy babble is brendan eich propaganda to justify his bullshit browser after he was kicked from mozilla

if you really want a solution host your own recursive dns and enable doh/dot for the server to talk to the root servers
then put a firewall redirect all port 53 requests to your local server so nothing gets out by accident

this also immediately prevents the dns spoofing attack they like to do for blocked websites since requests never even make it out to the internet
although requiring doh/dot alone fixes that as well, but not all devices support it
