Hi /pol/ I need some advice. A few weeks ago, I was drunk and then decided to drive home because the drive was a only a couple miles, and I've made that drive home while drunk many times. The problem is that I was involved in a fatal car accident while running a red light. The state is charging me with vehicular homicide. I think this is bullshit because I only consented to drive home. I did not consent to that other person's car being in the intersection while I was driving through it. I also did not consent to hitting their car with my car, and I certainly did not consent to killing any of them. Consent to drive drunk does not imply consent to commit vehicular homicide. This so obvious. In my opinion, since the other driver was sober, the other driver had a responsibility to drive differently in order to avoid being T-boned by my car while I was running the red light. When when will we as a society teach sober drivers that they can't just do whatever they want on the road? I also don't consent to go to trial or prison.Any advice is appreciated!
