It’s supposed to come with some kind of stipulation that it can only be spent on pre-selected American companies, which will no doubt all be publicly traded or the companies of his friends. It’s a blatant subsidy for big business, a permanent one because a shock to demand via stimulus checks permanently increases the prices of the goods it buys unlike direct subsidies.
