Rigid ain't bad. I hate their plunge cutter triggers. They get stuck constantly.

I also see their battery tabs break alot. But you can just ship whatever back to them and get a new tool.
>>
Not only is Chinese manufacture much better than it was, but supposed Western manufacturers have become so unreliable. I had some old Makita tools, like 20 years old, and I wanted a cordless circular saw, so I decided to go for Makita. The saw is great. Made in Japan. However when I was buying it I wanted to get a second battery, and the guy was like, oh, well there's an offer on, if you buy two tools from the same range you get one of the batteries free, and those batteries are pricey so it works out basically the same, so I was like cool, give me this drill. the drill is a piece of shit. Same logo, same styling, could be brothers to the saw. But the drill is made in Bangladesh. Makita don't have a factory in Bangladesh. So the drill is some rebadged piece of fucking garbage that has nothing in common with my excellent quality saw at all except using the same battery connector. I can't even know if the Makita I'm buying is a Makita any more without looking at the fine print, so I'm not going to buy Makita any more.

Here I thought we could have a nice back and forth about construction. Chinese spies?
I don't think Israel has any room to complain about spies. They are simply your countries elite guest workers so they don't have to pay you.
Capitalism will come for you.

In fairness, it's less about Chinese people doing the mfg. Chinese labor in a western factory with actual QC is normally pretty high quality. Trash made under a full Chinese umbrella with Chinese characteristics isn't even close. They will cut any corner they can when given the chance. The CCP broke them as human beings. It's hard-coded at this point and needs a firmware reset.
I know some good Chinese people. They have rejected the CCP though and understand how much damage it has done to their humanity. The US has its problems, but nothing like the corners cut there on a daily basis.
>>
>>543723718
Unironically wild and interesting learning other building techniques

We have a base concrete.
We glue this plastic spacer/barrier.
You mortar the barrier.
Then you mortar the tile to the barrier.

I guess the sand is your flex. Do you have tiles crack alot? After they are laid?

Idk how the thermal expansion works there or the humidity if your tiles even need to flex.
>>
>>543723795
Idk the quality coming into your country but I've never had one explode on me.

Im 40 give or take.

If the drill fails it usually just burns out. It smells like burning wires and then it just stops. If you mean thermal runaway form the battery. Never had it happen, but you could just carry the batteries in a old ammo box and if it runs away throw that shit outside real fast.

If it's in your hand I'd just drop and it step back. They don't really explode. They flash and shoot about a 4-5 inch flame depending on what happened and caused the runaway.

You most definitely can get quality stuff from China, you're just not going to get it at Walmart prices.
Take Kunwu knives as an example; they heat treat their blades just as good as Spyderco does, but with better QA and fit/finish, all for about half the cost of a comparable Spyderco knife.
>>
>>543723851
either sand or specialized gravel
it's between concrete and the mortar bed
and it's compacted while it's installed so it doesn't shift
it is fine with thermal expansion because that layer isn't monolithic
you still need perimeter gaps and shit to prevent cracking

Any Chinese manual labourer willing to go to a high risk region for work are very resilient.

If you see a sawzall name Newone buy it because its a 30 dollar makita clone battery it came with is iffy but it accepts regular 18v makita batterys. And I also have the corded model.

I use various Chinese electric pruners, blowers, saws, pole saws all with no problem. Same with many types of chinese generic pneumatic tools. My skill saw is a porter cable corded model and it is high quality. As for cordless impacts I have 2 makita Brushless and 2 dewalt one brushed one Brushless. All of them work except the Brushless dewalt. Hammer isnt very strong anymore. The brushed 20v dewalt still works since 2019. All have been used in construction and factory jobs.

As a professional, I've always used Ryobi because I know I can drop them off a two story roof and they'll be fine, and if for some reason they aren't I can replace a set for the price of a Dewalt impact. I still have a handful of blue Ryobi tools as backups after 10 or 15 years and those were garbage compared to the later green ones. Don't get me wrong, Dewalts are nice, but unnecessary outside of tradees wanting to look and feel like real carpenters. Milwuakee is mostly the same thing but for plumbers.

Oh yes, Hilti is also very good, professional grade but a bit pricey just for private household use.

>Makita is fucking garbage soft hands
This is true, especially since 2016 or whenever the fuck they first released their atrocious cordless 23-gauge pin nailer. Sure, they were first to market with a cordless 23ga, but from day 1 that shit did not work at all. It was so bad that I have no fucking idea who greenlit it. Ryobi of all things was second to market one and it worked beautifully from day one. Makita has been through like 6 iterations of their cordless 23ga and even the 60v version can't set nails for shit. Not to mention, all their shit is ridiculously expensive for dogshit. Anyway, as far as cordless pin nailers go:
1. Dewalt/FLEX (and craftsman, which is literally a red dewalt nailer)
2. Ryobi (stupid reliable, but no depth setting. no setting issues, though)
2.5. Milwaukee (the lightest one by far, but shit battery and pot metal driver blade that breaks or rounds after a month)
99. Makita nailer (including v1-v8 iterations)
100. Hitachi/Metabo (tried 3 different ones and I don't think it's able to fire without jamming by the 3rd shot. Jam clearing requires undoing like 8 screws)

Never had good luck with battery nailers of any type. Paslode for basic framing and air tools for anything specific.

Honestly it doesn’t even matter anymore. You’re buying into a battery system. I have Milwaukee since I have both the M18 and M12. Almost all my hand tools are Klein, since they make the best screw drivers, stippers, etc.
>Dewalt
Pretty good, I think they have better tools for carpentry (saws/sanders/etc.)
>Mikita
Used to have them, switched to Milwaukee since there’s just more selection and on-the-shelf availability
>Hilti
The king of heavy duty power tools, just expensive.
>Bosch
I think there’s two lines of Bosch tools, the garbage ones and the professional ones
>Ryobi
Okay for DYI
>FLEX
I keep hearing how good they are and people shilling for them yet no one is buying them and I never see them on a job site
>Rigid
Not bad, actually love their wet dry vacs. I think TTI is gonna kill them off eventually.
Then you get into trade specific tools. Like Festool for wood working.

do not use the batteries as a hammer, the assembly is pretty weak, like a communist

Dewalt for power tools, Klein for electrical tools, Knipex pliers the very best I've used, german. (landlord)

Milwaukee is for men who have sex with men and receive anal from men. They’re weak little white boiz who get their cute little pink boi holes violated by the biggest girthiest, blackest cocks. Sometimes they just can’t handle the pleasure and they cum from getting fucked like the little bitch they are.

How come every thread I go into, has some cuck (Indian or Jew) spamming this kind of bullshit? I will laterally be on a thread on /o/, /x/ or /vr/ and see this shit. /b/ is already a lost cause, until they ban porn, it will be unusable.

Yeah that's why they're in the construction industry instead of just saying they're a builder.
