I agree, for instance, Clancy, death is preferable for her, from her perspective, when sticking her in a room with razors locked behind unbreakable glass and a tape playing on loop of someone describing how each of her kids died in excruciating detail, is far closer to "justice" in any "objective" sense, execution is far too merciful
excellent point for a memeflaggot, bravo

those do still exist if I'm not mistaken, it's state to state, and you don't get to know if you fired a bullet or a blank

>wire 22 to button on armrest
>restrain to chair
>"When you're ready."
>leave them to do it themselves
You wanted humane, right? Of course, suicide is wrong, but it's the most humane avenue with the fewest harmed individuals.
Feel free to kill yourself.

Better solution: send them to Canada.

>yeah bro just decapitated people and let them experience absolute horror for the last 30 seconds of their life as they remain conscious that their head has been totally severed from their lifeless body
You are an absolute maniac.

A 500kg mass falling 10m produced around 49,000 joules of energy. On a theoretically completely rigid stop, this would result in something outrageous like 49 MN (49,000,000 Newtons).

Now, the actual force produced depends on stopping distance. A 1 meter stopping distance would result in 49,000 Newtons. 10cm stopping distance would be 490,000. It’s the basic work-energy principle.

It only takes about 2,400 Newtons to squish a human skull like a grape.

So if you want an elaborate apparatus to kill someone instantly while also being gruesome/entertaining, the guillotine isn’t the best choice. You need to drop a big weight on their heads.

Imagine two 10m (30ft) vertical poles roughly three feet apart. Between them is a 1m long, 12” diameter steel rod. It slides along the poles on linear bearings. The condemned is positions so the weight nearly free falls onto their heads, squishing it between the steel rod and a steel strike plate.
