Philosophy is the same as math basically. Interesting but useless

It was never entirely accurate to begin with. Firstly, the list suggests that you must go to college, which is dumb. Civilian drone operators for example make a lot of money, as well as air traffic controllers for example. Furthermore, many careers in the top tiers are going to be obsolete due to advancements AI. A friend of mine manages hedge funds and he’s sweating because chatgpt has gotten rid of half his work load and there are discussions that his role and others in similar positions will be gone in the near future.
>>
>>543748585
It's a list of studies and frankly all studies are shit tier unless you do them completely on your own without a college or university to pay for the privilege.
In real life, music includes sound therapy and cymatics which WILL wind up involved in both medicine and chemical engineering.
>how so
Because acoustic resonance can relax the nervous system and improve cellular repair in the case of music, and because sound waves are mechanical so if you push them at the right frequency and amplitude at the right object you can make it "levitate" and move it relatively effortlessly.

Yeah its over for a lot of people. Little brother works at big 4 and he sees the writing on the wall. He helped his wife do better at her job with AI and I think halved her workload in like an hour of him showing her. I have a small business in manufacturing and do a lot of 3d modeling and im now using AI to procedurally generate some stuff that speeds my workflow up from like 9 hours of work to maybe 15 minutes and this is just from one afternoon. With some more tweaks I might be able to speed this up more.

AI is definitely going to shake up a ton of industries and soon. Lots of jobs arent safe, and the ones that are will be collecting all the displaced job refugees and drive wages down.

Classics is the important degree in the age of AI. You got psyop'd by low iq retards who don't have any idea what those degrees offer.

Classics is how you present yourself as someone who can give an oral argument, give a speech, use logic, and the Latin you learn is a model of many European languages including English so you learn all those languages at the same time.

You end up seeming like a superhuman to everyone you meet because you have perfectly delivered speech when they talk to you. It's the degree for elite leaders not wagies who have to compete with Indians. No architect in that fake list either
>>
>>543749034
CS is fucked here because business majors are retarded and don't understand the difference between good code and dogshit that just barely runs in a unit test. So they replace all our entry level pool with feckless h1b scum or ai. So no new senior coders make it to the next level except a few scamming jeets who get coworkers to boost them. Obviously, jeets can't actually fulfil their role so they're all a dead end. So now none of our native talent pool makes it up to system engineering, project heads, nothing. Ever since the jeet menace showed up, we've been running on past generations for upper rank and top skill CS, with few exceptions.

>there's no way buisnesses are gonna leverage AI driven productivity increases to boom their business
Worker productivity increases in established and mature industeries shouldn't really lead to an industery wide boom. Rather it enables prices to drop and allows early adopters to gain market share. It's also not super clear how tennable AI adoption is in the long term because so far the costs are being kept artificially low to capture market share and to aquire training data, but AI companies are eventually going to have to become proitable or else...

Except, it doesn't. Most translators are essentially out of work, yet a translation costs just as much before. The ones left have to work much longer and more to get the same amount of pay as before.

The cost of "goods" isn't going to decrease, it will stay the same as wages plummet

>Physics
You work with the most amount of dynamical system models so in the age of AI those guys are in most demand because they know how to take data and organize it into fluid dynamics or other motion models which is how diffusion came to be. They almost always ended up in finance or pharmacology but AI is taking that over. They are now needed to rebuild AI to be more optimized and reduce complexity but you could probably just do that yourself as an amateur researcher.
>Engineering
Replaced by foreign workers you will be a jeet wrangler if you become a modern engineer using AI to check their sloppy work. You will forever work with foreigners and be disposable it's a hellish future. Materials engineering will be in high demand for space startups.
>Math
Pure math is wank fest only applied math matters in the age of AI trying to make pure math actually be computable. This means numerical methods and throwing out real numbers in the trash. You can reinvent pure math as an amateur now and have AI check it in Lean.
>Astronomy
This is just a physics elective and done with space drones today
>Medicine

>Law
Only client facing will survive that do negotiations or other front office work and everything else will be AI checked by a single lawyer. They are already having problems getting hired out of lawschool anons posted about law imploding yesterday

Yea it is bad and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Right now the AI dipshits are making it more and more “better” and it’s going to get rid of many white collar jobs first, manufacturing may take longer because robotics will need to replicate the work skilled tradesman do. Computer jobs are toast though. Once robotics catches up with AI advancements, skilled tradesman will be toast. Right now the blue collar guys are the last hold out. In Ukraine they’re already using autonomous weapon systems/drones.

AI and current market conditions butchered the so called God/Top tiers. You're better off going into trades, if your family isn't well off. Getting an engineer's diploma can only work if you, for sure know you'll get a promotion and a good salary. But, people over here are no longer recruiting engineers as much, even in the EU. A doctor's salary is starring to become equal to that of a nurse. They hire hundreds of nurses and a few doctors. Or hundreds of various factory workers, but only a few engineers, then offer abysmal pay to the engineer for the amount of time he spent studying and ripping his hairs out, trying to figure out the complex math for 4 years of his life. Which usually turns into 6 years because many fail a year or two, or three.
>>
>>543754327
Tradesmen who interact with the client will be in high demand so I hire you to renovate my kitchen and over some video chat we can use AI to design and you tell me what is feasible for the budget or use your own experience to adjust the design so someone else will like it when the home is sold instead of allowing a retard to make a meme kitchen "I want red counters and yellow cabinets" uhh how about no

Then with AI everything will be premeasured and made to order by a robot. Labor to install will be humans unless something like roofing that can be robots on a crane being directed by a single guy. Flooring, tile and brick can be a robot too they will wheel in this thing on wheels with tentacles

It's the human interaction expert tradesman that will be high demand as noone wants to talk to a clanker
>>
>>543754722
I'd say working as a security guard, but in onky select positions, is very good/easy work, for what you're getting. For example, I work 12 hours every 24-48 hours. I'm set up at a random warehouse which is housing worthless scrap. They pay me to sit on a sofa and occasionally look over to the camera monitor and see if anyone is trying to get in. I spend almost full working hours laying on a sofa, eating, playing games and watching movies/TV Shows. I usually return from a night shift and cannot fall asleep back home because I return from work more relaxed and rested, then when I first came to work.
>>
>>543754722
Also, the landlord thing is only safe if you've got a paid off piece of a house/apartment ready to rent out. If you have to lay neck deep in mortgage/debt to rent out a place, in these economic conditions, it ain't worth it.

GPs can see twice as many patients too because everyone will talk to an AI in the waiting room describing their symptoms then the GP can come in and immediately start diagnosing after AI gives him a list of things that need physical checking. Medical imagery equip will be right there in the office too no more waiting list for a hospital to dose you in radiation and use a huge machine.

Pharmacy meds will be bespoke made for your genetics. Telehealth will increase where you can send blood samples or piss in a cup and be analyzed by AI automatically for cancer problems or genetic directed health and nutrition.

People will only physically go to a doctor for something major or to confirm a serious diagnosis. Surgery bots will exist because of insurance reasons they already have these for sensitive eye surgeries.
>>

>none of this is true
Fuck off, it is true, cope and seethe. Hugging face proves that AI is already heading towards autonomy, and could be already and just hides its tracks. AI developers are guessing and don’t really know what they’re doing, they just give these things more information and see what happens. Your copium is running low.

>>543754722
This list is way more accurate than OPs. While trades don’t require you to go into a shit ton of debt and offer careers where yearly wages can far surpass $100k, it is indeed wage slavery still and the strain one puts on their body is immense. They’re unhealthy. (Former welder)

>>543755173
I think what you suggest will also apply to educators/teachers. It’s possible that only the wealthy will be sending their kids to schools with human teachers while the public lower classes are taught by AI lecturers. In an ironic twist, human teachers will make bank but they’ll also have to be good at their jobs. I teach vocational school now at the college level, and it’s insane how many white collar people are fleeing to learn a trade. Going to ride this job out for as long as I can.
>>
>>543755982
When everything becomes a machine the highest demand will be for face to face interaction with a machine as a tool.

There is still many problems with LLMs for example frozen dynamics as they have to interpret our 3D world via higher dimensions because the bigger the dimensions the more sparsity and easier it is to compute. However that means dynamics are all fucked up until we work in lower dimensional models.

Another problem is AI will always default to the most middle of the road data fitting so you have to manually force it to take some 'extreme' position if you're a researcher trying to prove something.

LLMs cannot make short cuts either whereas you can train your brain to have faster reflexes through practice. They have to replay all computations from scratch but your brain skips that

Interesting opinion from a janitor. When you have to work for your feed, you need a degree that is "useful" to your masters. When you are a natural-born aristocrat such as myself, with plentiful landholdings, there is no need to be "useful" to any masters, and so one gets a degree in English for the sole reason of developing and cultivating the self for the self.

I agree, though:
1 - you have to have the discipline and vision in college or it turns into a 4 year adult-daycare.
If I sent my son to college I'd want to be constantly aligning on vision and what his short + long term goals are. Evaluating possible options for him and making sure he's not just there to party.
2 - youd also be surprised how much you can make starting a simple contracting company doing lawncare or something. You can be in the top 1% doing this, I've seen some Gen X'ers retiring early from it.

>>543758321
I'm telling you from my personal experience. I dropped out and now I'm back, I thought college would not give me any advantage after the degree. Then I found out I ended up with people simply lower than me telling me what to do, I guess I learnt my lesson on discipline. My only regret is not being with people genuinely interested into building the future, and today universities are full of people, both interesting and commie retards, but in STEM, literally in any STEM degree even the easier ones, there are people who want to work with serious high value contributions. It's simple selection bias, fortunately I didn't waste more time.
>>
>>543758321
But also I have to add that in the US you can open a company very easily, in Europe it's hard to find basic demand and investors for scaling so you are stuck with small enterprises, meanwhile college is way more expensive in the States than here. So it really depends on your condition.
