Only time I've ever upholstered my firearm was to shoot in the air when some wild dogs came on my property and were trying to get in my chicken coup. My nearest neighbors a bit over a mile away and just called to ask if everything was okay when she heard the gunshots. She gives me a call when she's target practices on her property every other month just to let me know what's going on. Its just part of rural life.
