Imagine not stocking way up back in COVID and basically re-upping as you go. My basement looks like a grocery store. I have beans, rice, deenz, olive oil, preserved food of all varieties. I have a fully stocked garden, fruit trees, pears coming into harves, no apples this year because last year my apple tree was so burdened that the tip of the tallest branch, over 35' tall normally, was on the ground so I pruned it back and it just has first year sticks now. Next year it will be nuts for sure tho.New addition this year is a patch of giant Isle of Jersey asparagus, 36 crowns. They've already grown 5-6' tall, twice the size of normal asparagus. But I won't harvest them until next year.
