When I went into the field, it was already getting saturated with roasties & normgroids. Then came the huge influx of jeets after Biden, further saturating the market. Now not only do qualified people have to compete against AI but also hundreds of poos & women who shouldn't be there.

>>543794867It's parasitism. Women in their Jew daycare job do nothing all day while the men work their butts off. The most insulting part is that those cunts are also making 6 figures...doing NOTHING. You just don't hate women enough, but you should.
>>543794924This was a question in good faith, if anyone knows and can speak to whether it's a good or bad practice, I'm genuinely curious. From my perspective commits can be very small or very large, and there's a very real possibility that the code never actually makes it to production, or it fails testing.
>>543794493They also created the resume culture. Which is nothing they had to go through and it's changing every few years too. I didn't know AI was skimming and deleting resumes without keywords for 18 months.
>>543794924Each commit for work is a Jira ticket, buildable and deployable. Each PR is generally an epic (for feature work). Extra commits if it doesnât pass the review gate. The open source commits are more dynamic. Personal projects same workflow as my day job. My point is that no matter how much code I ship the only value I would have in an interview would be management and planning for pipeline, security, compliance especially, and architecture. No one cares about code and thereâs a million people who can do the management level stuff when youâre job is just âimplement this ticket XXX-12345â to Claude. I also have a backup career already set up that is AI proof if this goes belly up but it would be a sizeable pay cut and Iâd actually have to work
>>543794960My company keeps ap separate from buyers. Pretty crazy. I have to get a quote, my manager has to tell a foid that we need to issue a PO for the quote. The foid sits on it for a week and then starts PO. This goes to foid 2 for approval before going to the director of my department before going to vice president and then president. And then to director of accounting before going to foid 3 to send the completed PO to my manager to then send to me to send to whoever I got quote from. And if at any point the PO goes beyond 30 calendar days it is dead. So I have to harass people at every step in the chain to approve the PO so I can keep the network running.I suppose it is to prevent fraud but the fact I have to kvetch at people who spend half the day reading news articles unrelated to our industry is insane. Yes I do look at logs of what they do I am curious if they are working or if they are busy ignoring my PO.
>>543793215Bro thinks he's indian lol.
Something I don't think anybody takes into consideration, in 1998 (or around that time) the US had 20,000 open computer science jobs. To drive the narrative that we need more programmers they rolled computer science and web engineering together. I've been in the IT field as a system admin for 15 years. Any idea how many lines of code I've written, probably 10k. And all of those were for side teams too stupid to slap a bash script together.
>>543795240Is this industry standard? My only involvement in producing code for projects has been very small open source stuff without a formal review process, so I don't have a frame of reference.
>>543793215Every retard have a degree, anyone can fucking have it, its easy and straightforward path.
>>543793251>>543793534Goys, I get you never went to college, but you should still know BA vs. BS is almost entirely a matter of convention. BA doesnât mean they studied meme shit like graphic design, just that their school is somewhat old-fashioned and still considers sciences âart.â
>>543794598I have similar issues. I ended up driving a forklift at a trucking company. Everyone i work with is dumb as rocks, including management. Having half a brain and not showing up to work drunk basically makes me un-fireable. I can pretty much do what I want and no one really questions me. I come in late almost every day. I make almost 30/hr, it's not bad.
>>543794960i think the point is that no matter your experiencr you can probably get into some department and start the rapid climb. also not sure what your experience is, the company i work with has representation in every dept including ops.it women are getting the job its because they can pay attention to detail and work with vendors and internal parties to figure shit out. guys that can figure out how to communicate can land those jobs too.that said, why focus on if you can or cant get a role that accounts for maybe 5% of the headcount at an org as an argument?
>>543795233Our tickets are broken down into very small pieces so that each ticket corresponds to a single commit. And our epics are very tightly scoped as well. We have thrown out a lot of the original Agile concepts as theyre too slow or no longer really empower us. Our system isnât really scalable or well defined yet since onboarding AI. But a lot of the devops principles regarding identifying bottlenecks etc still do apply. So yeah itâs nebulous and commit counts donât matter. Sorry if my original post made it seem like I was bragging or something, my point was that Iâm super fucking lazy and even I have that many (not just fluff) PRs, so writing code cannot be valuable anymore
>>543794867Cheaper to waste $500k/year on paying a couple of useless holes to do nothing all day, than to get hit with a multimillion dollar discrimination lawsuit

Very mystifying and the more a priori analysis I apply to this the more perplexing it becomes...somehow normies/NPCs accept this state of affairs as given when it makes no sense and massively wastes actual talent who lack the self-debasing attitude needed to grovel their way through hiring idiocy.
>>543795990You coudn't be more wrong. Not all code is equally complex or important. >>543797031>Life is a series of percentage playsAbsolutely agree. But he comes across as having a "I know the 'truth' and thus am better than the plebs" attitude that's both self-defeating and toxic as fuck. Niggas who think they are above the grind either need to back up their attitude by being on the next level (in which case they wouldn't be whining here) or to rope.>You also don't need to have a careerAlso true. For a culmination of reasons I am now looking into the option of working as a flight attendant bitch. Ironically the competition for those spots is also fierce with only an estimated 1 out of 25 applicants getting an offer.
>>543796540Too bad millennials spent from kindergarten to highschool being lied to and even emotional blackmail to get a career or be poor. That other jobs were for peasants. I even know cases where some boomer father made sure his kid wouldn't get a job till he finished college. Now everything is TRIPLE the price and got outpriced from ever getting a houseThose are 5 years that won't come back and would have been better spent working in anything and save money as soon as possibleThey don't even teach to about stocks and investments, those found about those through some friend skipping school or some forum he found
>>543793215The plot of Death Stranding is that everything became automated because instantaneous massive data transfer became possible, 3D printers could make everything you need from scratch, and the only jobs left for humans was Amazon delivery driver, and that only because it was legislated that drones weren't allowed to do it all because humans were going nuts without anything to do.This guy is just ahead of the curve. Keep on keeping on.
>>5437972201 in 25 is considered fierce? Wtf is wrong with you all?
>>543793215And there are niggers that don't know what 6 + 17 = but get plenty of pussy.
>>543794867Out-competed by women, there are more of them after all, women are the Indians of the human race. They're even competing with each other for those jobs. The job market is oestrogen free in the dirty job sector though.
>>543793303a degree is almost never indicative of a strong knwoledge base. it's just a document that indicates you are capable of BUILDING that knowledge base. you're a bucket that doesn't have any holes in the bottom.
>>543793595Plenty of boomers turned out to be deadbeat losers because they lacked the drive and ability. The fact they succeeded without degrees while this guy failed despite having one LITERALLY bolsters the argument.
>>543793595you don't know anything. 90% or higher of the chuds in CS programs do not belong there and just get by, even in the accredited programs. They can't even be bothered to put up a public repo on github, unless it's for an assignment, maybe. I can tell just by looking at the guy in OP that he's one of them.
>>543796540>No one OWES you (or me) a job.If no one owes you food or shelter and you need a job to get them but no one owes you a job either what happens when there's no jobs?
It's all luck/the economic environment when/where you graduate/enter the workforce.
>>543797370We can even print houses, it's jews and boomers blocking technology and having a weird fetish obsession over owning niggers as slave
>>543797378Oh, look at this baby and how much harder he has it!>>543797615Then you use the social safety net.>>543797324Are you one of those "muh trades" faggots?Trades are fine, but you pay with your health and body for that income. Of course no one wants to get into that if they have other options because having joint pain and other injuries start to flare up in your 50s because your body is literally wearing out that fast fucking sucks.
I got a meme degree in Psychology cause it was piss easy and the program was full of chicksWhat actually got me a job was having N1 in japanese. Though HR demons here would never even look at you if you don't have a degree
>>543793621This is true for every high paying job ever.
It's kind of amazing how quickly the learn2code meme died. I wonder if the people who paid for those coding boot camps regret wasting their money yet
Honestly though the boomers spent the past two decades drilling it into their kids heads they needed to learn to code only to rug pull them by flooding the industry with jeets and call them stupid for not becoming a plumber. Its not AI that is taking the CS jobs it is "AI" Actually Indians
>>543797805At this point I'd be happy to take a lower salary if it meant I can WFH.>TOTAL H1BIGGER DEATH
>>543797324>Those are 5 years that won't come back and would have been better spent working in anything and save money as soon as possibleIf I could go back to the end of high school, I would have saved 50% of all my paychecks from 18-25 and lived with my parents while going to trade school or community college learning something low key and useful. Even if it only paid $30-50K per year, it would have been enough to buy a starter house by 2019. Fuck me, man. We really got screwed.>T. 1994 millennial that studied journalism at uni (completely made redundant by AI).

>>543797783>I wonder if the people who paid for those coding boot camps regret wasting their money yetFurthermore, I couldn't imagine wasting serious study on garbage like "frameworks", all the weird buzzword crap that is utterly contingent, mathematically barren, and only good for some pointless business use case. All now irrelevant and best delegated to an AI made for such drudgery. They were rats training to solve a maze that no longer exists with no cheese in sight, wasted life.
> spend $90k/y on collage> job pays $30k/yAverage unitard logic. Also, who the fuck is taking computer sci at uni, get a goddamn certification and go suck the dick of a California startup
>>543793215Uni degrees are too accessible and the difference of expectations between universities is huge. Hell, in my experience even differences within the same university were way too big, the majority of people who made it past the first two years filter just picked worthless subjects to fill their credits to finish the degree in the easiest way possible.I would say that out of the 400 students that started uni with me, only 10 ended up being actual skilled engineers (6 autists that went the full math path and 4 autists that went the full hardware path), everyone else was mediocre. And this was at the top computer science university in this country, it only gets worse from there. Now, probably more than 10 were reliable and employable, but in all honesty if I was doing technical interviews at my company you just having a degree wouldn't buy you much credibility, it would basically show that you can be committed for several years to accomplishing a moderate difficulty goal, which is more than can be said for dropouts.
>>543798145Not really, you failed, and have continued to fail for a hundred years. If you all didn't have financial warfare, nobody would care about Britain

>>543793215>bachelor of arts in a science fieldWho was his academic advisor pluto from mickey mouse?
>Computer scienceThis is why you DONT get degrees in introverted fields! Jobs that let you keep your head down and away from social interactions are deliberately being phased out because if they can be done quietly alone, they can be automated.
>>543797853Pretty much a lot of millennials were deceivedFunny how those who quit high school were the ones winning the hardest since by the time you finished college they saved money to buy a house (which were 1/3 cheaper)I remember when even teachers used to mock women working in supermarkets and turns out now everyone wants their job and those women are married and with kids kek Being smart really is about taking the best decision at the right time
>>543798711this>went back to my school with some friends after we graduated to visit our teachers on open house day. My old /lit/ teacher made fun of me for working at a local Lidl until I got an Apprentice ship. Now I have my own comfy office, chill work hours, a based boss (he hates jews and niggers just as much as me) and I am currently saving some dosh to get myself a Paramotor flyer and some lessons. That fucking /lit/ bitch teacher is probably still doing the same boring ass curiculums for the same pay she got when I was in her class but with students who are objectivly much much dumber than me, needing twice the effort.Fuck you Mrs. Rogel, you fucking stupid ass single mom cunt.
>>543794233>that actually benefits societyImpatient consumerism does not benefit society.
>>543793251Nigger>>543793215This actually was easy to predict. Coding is for computers, computers do it better.
>>543798474I'm no longer in the industry. You see, normgroid, all us nerds left the tech field the moment your kind invaded it many years ago & we moved onto greener pastry. Ironically it was us nerds who the built the AI & released it to the public as a giant FU to all you cunts who took us for granted. But don't fret, the machine will replace (you) & your middle management position soon enough. Never forget Mr Project Manager, you're a paper pusher at the end of the day & your wagie cubicle job is on borrowed time.
>>543798923Based Hans smelly man.
Again, I canât stress this enough. Thatâs why you DONT get degrees or apply for jobs that introverts love. Looksmaxx for a bartending gig or something. Look at the jobs these techies end up doing. Jobs for the nerds and slaves the girls donât want to see such as packing a truck, Walmart, overnight shift, or stockroom with rotating and âflexibleâ shifts.
>>543799082That wonât happen. If AI truly was taking over jobs, it would take over the introvertâs job. Humans would still make sure a woman gets to keep her cushy middle management job or working the front desk at your dental office. Chads will end up working at a nightclub or something.
>>543799203And your mum in the whorehouse
>>543799203It's already happening. You're on borrowed time, you overglorified wagiecucking normalfag.
>>543798923This. Hell have you ever seen a hairdresser woman without a family? Those are girls who quit highschool and won hard in lifeTeachers are always brainwashing girls to study because as soon as those girls taste the married life and freedom they will never step on a classroom ever again kek
>>543797720>Then you use the social safety netMAGApedos are gutting the social safety net as we speak.
>>543799372Yeah, none of those are cushy girl jobs or chad jobs. Look at all those software dev jobs being affected. Introvert nerd jobs.>TelemarketingNobody likes that job.
>>543794867Women get those roles because people want the workplace filled with women and they on average are worse employees than men at any real creative work. But they can organize things for other people. Those jobs are basicly 1950s secretary jobs modernized and compartmentalized with empowering modernized titles. There is also an excess number of women from universities with credentials so a large number applying while only being good on average at such organization tasks or overseeing and organizing others organizing.Whether physical labor or creative engineering most of what makes a company any money is still done by men. Everyone else is just organizing their workflow and trading what they generate and then taking a large portion of the generated wealth.A man in those roles is still better, having actual knowledge in what is being organized, but women do it fine and what else would you have most of the women doing otherwise.
if you can larp as a regular normie, you can do sales. Ai can't replace a real human sales guy just yet. you just have to close some deals and you're good.
>>543799440Which is why I'll be voting for DSA candidates since they plan to make it legal to holocaust miggers.
My top interests for a trade education after high school were compsci and culinary arts. Glad I went culinary arts.
>>543793532you do realize everyone knows your experience hype is complete bullshit, right big leader?
>>543793215He's where he should be.
>>543799372ultimately all this shit is just a glorified chatbot with a search compilation feature, or a printer with a randomize function, if it can replace your job, you never had a real one to begin with
>>543793303K then forgive all student debt since these degrees are worthless.
>>543800333>if it can replace your job, you never had a real one to begin withMost office jobs are not real jobs so don't be surprised when they are all eliminated. Yes, a chatbot can do what a wagie does, which shows up the farce of adult daycare for the busywork it mostly is.
