>Things are almost back to the level they were before the war that has cost hundreds of billions in taxpayer dollars, American consumers 128 billion dollars at the pump, and the lives of at least 18 American servicemen
So this is winning
>>
Gas is 5.99 in the station nearest to where I live, and I've seen worse around the city.
>>
>>543883081
So long as trump and his master Israel continue this war the price of gas will not go down. Don't matter how much you push out, Iran is the money wrench already in mid swing with no one knowing when it will hit.
>>
>>543883325
They don't think they are winning but they know what they are doing. Longer it takes to end, worse are the consequences of it. Famine, poverty, death of family members. That breeds hatred towards america common citizens will blame US for all of it and the cicle continues. Not US to blame though, they gave many warnings to iranians. If they want this war to end they better make different choices otherwise it will continue.

After midterms it will increase. Enjoy the cheaper gas while it lasts.
>>
>>543883081
Ye this was inevitable. The only reason they didnt do it before was because going through hormuz was easier. Now we just need to wait for the oil to actually reach here so the gas stations lower prices

it already went up today LOL

Probably new refinaries will be build in South america, cause the ones in midwest and europe are done for. It will take a while to estabilize and in the meanwhile EV's will get more popular.

Well, if we are talking exclusive about trucks then we wouldn't have a real problem. The issue is that gas and diesel are oil subproducts, they are also got in two different processes which makes them two different fuel coming from a single source (there are others, jetfuel, propane) the problem is: cars must shift their fueling methods, being Electric is easier and cheaper besides being better for enviroment but you can't make diesel without producing gas so how do you expect to supply diesel demand without pouring gas in the economy? Impossible. The only way to slow the whole process is by blowing up the refinaries.

Why are sand niggers so predictable? All they do is whine and take it up the ass. They will not touch Israel because they are pussies and know they are now close to being nuked. It seems what happened was, Iran got their targeting data cut off from China. Because in the first place China is the one who loses the most from the Strait being closed. But the US may have made some unspecified concessions to China as well, as the two recently met

Because both the spot price and futures are still at 90 dollars a barrel and it would take weeks/months to drop down even if they opened the strait

Sources
-- a major article that Iran lost their targeting data from china
-- the US and China meet and China is unexpectedly glowing with praise for the US
-- Iran suddenly seems to not have the ability to hit ships in the strait despite bellicose declarations

>>543885124
world oil reserves are at an all time low
it's gonna take at least 5 years before we see any recovery from the trump wars
>>
>>543885124
So the narrative is that oil as returned to pre war levels and your telling me we need to wait till after midterms to de prices drop?
That's what I'm getting?
>>
>>543884648
Hmmm i see
I'm surprised there's a data vacuum here then. I thought the IEA would be gathering data on it.
>>
>>543883081
From what I have read, this is being accomplished like this:

> Big ships loaded with crude in ports.
> Big ships park offshore and turn off transponders.
> Small ships in Persian Gulf turn off all transponders.
> Small ships pull up to loaded crude carriers throughout Persian Gulf.
> Crude loaded into small ships via hoses.
> Small ships sail under heavy US naval and air cover to Strait of Hormuz.
> US naval and air cover takes them through southern passage in Omani waters.
> Small ships rendezvous with larger tankers in Gulf of Oman beyond Strait of Hormuz.
> Crude transferred to larger ship via hoses.
> Small ships keep transponders off and return to Persian Gulf under heavy US naval and air cover.
> Process repeats.

Essentially the US is operating a shadow fleet. Iran doesn't want to directly attack US ships, and unless they have a visual of the smaller crude transports they can't ID them without transponders. So the Saudis keep exporting via their east-west pipeline, and the rest is being taken from the Persian Gulf like this. These ship-to-ship transfers are risky, time-consuming, and expensive. The US naval and air cover is unbelievably expensive. The damage to production and export facilities remains extensive. And for the most part, nothing getting out is refined petrochemicals or other products derived from oil and gas. There is likely to continue to be a serious deficit in things like fuels and fertilizers for the foreseeable future, and global refining capacity is several years away at the absolute earliest from being able to replace the Gulf. High energy and fertilizer prices will likely be the norm in wealthier countries for the foreseeable future, while fuel rationing and famine is likely to become the norm in poorer regions.

Can't find any of the articles you claim exist except counter ones that show Iran striking several ships over the weekend recently. Mr "Bellicose" with weird ass emdash AI formatting.

> USA won ; straits are open.

Price of Diesel down? No?
go fuck yourself, we're still fucked
>>
>>543885588

The cost to do this is exponentially higher, and most of the smaller ships aren't capable of making trans-oceanic voyages. It's like buying a 2-pack of paper towels at the convenience store compared to a 24-pack at Costco. The cost per roll is substantially lower when buying bulk at a discount retailer. Anyways, at most these ships are only ever used to ferry crude to other places in the Gulf if necessary, or to get crude to the Indian and Pakistani refineries just outside the Gulf. They can't make it to Japan, for example. They're not designed for it.

I guess a better example would be, imagine you want to fill your car's gas tank, but you can't bring your care to the gas station. Instead, you have to have someone drive you to the gas station to fill up a 1-gallon gas can, which you then pour into your tank. Since your vehicle is empty and it has a 20-gallon tank, you have to make that trip 20 times, burning fuel, risking an accident, and wasting time each and every time. What should cost basically nothing and take 10 minutes instead costs several dollars in gas and hours of your day. Now imagine that you need two dedicated police cruisers escorting you at all times while you do this.

That's how we've achieved this feat. It's not sustainable cost-wise, and all this is about is a desperate effort to get fuel prices down before the midterms. That's why the US bulldozed the EU into releasing their strategic diesel reserves, usually held back for national security emergencies. The global energy market is totally fucked.
