walsh just dropped a truke on boomers
>>
>>543883177
As always, everything Walsh says is completely vapid and moronic. This guy doesn't know shit about anything he loves writing essays about.
>>
>>543883177
>checked
Surprised this is actually not a retarded take from him. Selling out your future to pay for your past is retarded.
>>
Uhhh, is Matt fucking Walsh on his 1488 redemption arc? Holy fucking based, Dailywire bros...
>>
>>543883389
So explain why he's wrong.
>>
>>543883177
Did he actually post that? I guess Benny boy has to let him off the leash once in a while so the Daily Wire doesn't look like /total/ bullshit.
>>543883389
He's right once in a while, like here. Social Security is unambiguously a pyramid scheme, which the government has raided to pay for all kinds of bullshit. Shouldn't exist. What would a canuck know about it in a first place? Assuming you are a Canadian and not a "new canadian."
>>
>>543883565
He’s a leaf; anyways I notice leafs have to mention their “gfs” or “wives” a lot now in /pol/, this is a cope. They have no spouses, anything. Their grocery prices are still bad, kraft man n cheese is what they eat, and they still think trudeau is in charge.

So? Let the governments figure it out, they are the ones who created It in the first place, don't bail them out by volunteering to give up your slice of the pie.
>>
>>543884788
Social security is not and never was a retirement account. You have less than no idea what you’re talking about
>>
>>543883565
It's not a pension fund that's invested over time for you to withdraw on. It's quite literally a tax on younger generations to provide retirement to older generations. You know, the thing you do for older people so they can retire peacefully and with dignity? The same way you would like to when you're older? Or wait, let me guess, you did everything right and will retire w billionaire and they should have just pulled their bootstraps up, hmm?
>>
Social security, Medicare and Medicaid are not able to be funded anymore starting right after midterms. Nobody wants to lend the US any more money. Especially at the current interest rates.

You will see a lot more opinion pieces like this. They will start fights between booms and millenyzooms over who destroyed the USA.
>>
>>543884788
Nope. Not in america. It's not an investment fund for when you're older. It's literally money the younger generation collectively provides to the older generation. They did the same thing for the generation before them.
>>
>>543884788
And the people being coerced into paying for it certainly deserve to finance it for them...oh no wait that's called slavery and is supposed to be illegal.

>It's an investment
It's literally one of the shittedt investments you can makebar none
On average people pull out less then they invested into SS, That is fucking by design.
When ss was made it was set at a collection age of 65, during which time the average life span was 60. It was a fucking scam say one.

Worst of all, you can literally put 1000 dollars into a index fund the day you are born and by age 65 you will have more money the. You would on average pull out through SS.

If right now I had the option to cut my losses, pull out of social security and instead put all that money into an index or mutual fund, I would in a heart with out a second thought.

>>
>>543885195
So young people not wanting to pay into a scam is the problem? Not the government's utter mismanagement and outright robbery of the program? This is why it shouldn't have existed in the first place, and people should have just kept that much more money from working rather than paying into this slush fund for the government that gives you pennies on the dollars you paid in.

No one pulls out the money they put. That's the point. The money you get from social security is slotted to you based on a formula from a pot of existing money that has been put into it not by you. You're paying for people who retire before you. Simple as. It's not a savings account of your money when you're older.
>>
Have any of these freaks ever even mentioned that all of this money is fake made up bullshit? Our civilization had gold and silver coins for literally millennia with largely stable prices. In the early 1900s fiat paper currency (now electronic) was instituted and it has already lost 99% of its purchasing power because surprise surprise both the government and the bankers take advantage of it to create infinite money out of thin air.

there were very few stable coins like the florin. You had regular debt jubilees, all the coins would be turned back in and reminted under severe penalties (i.e. INFLATION). Learn about the actual economics of the middle ages, its not about stable money. Ss and Medicare aren't separate systems. They are incestuous tax siphons on the middle class. Medicare sets insurance reimbursement rates and acts as deadwwight loss in the healthcare system just as ss siphon off healthcare funds in the same way. They both act to inflate prices and suppress wages. Insurance and lobbyists love this little tax system coz they can suck off the teat of the govt and hide theft in an overnurdened system filled with fraud. It all needs to end

ss is taken from your checks and aside from a few exceptions you can't do shit about it. And then it's spent on all sorts of shit that isn't just returning the money to you years later with interest which there's zero you can do about. So he's mostly right about what he's saying even if he didn't say it very clearly. He should have said "didn't choose to pay into it, it was simply taken without asking then spent immediately so that more and more must be taken from everyone later to keep payments to retired people going out" or something to that effect. Because the money you get back from ss is not what YOU put in, it's what others put in after your money was taken and spent on other bullshit. The whole system is a scheme to rob peter and mary to pay paul.

Not really. The program buys bonds. Bonds have been underperforming the stock market probably as long as you've been alive. They've also been underperforming vs inflation for years now. Ironically, the demand for those bonds suppresses their yield and ends up being self limiting. It's an absolute fucking retarded train wreck.

You do know that if you took all the money you paided into social security and just stuck it in a jar and did not invest it, and did not start spending it until you were 65, that jar would have more money then the average person gets from ss right now.

>The elderly literally paid taxes into the pool of social security.
>It's basically an investment account.
Not remotely true in any way.
The official name for the social security program in the US is Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability INSURANCE (OASDI) because it is more of an insurance scheme than any kind of pension or investment account.
It was basically intended to be an insurance program that would provide a financial safeguard for old people who literally lived too long to be able to work or earn an income. People would pay relatively small amounts out of their paycheck and in return they would have the peace of mind of knowing that they would still get some income if they lived to be old and decrepit and wouldn't end up homeless or starving.
Workers earning an income are are required to make FICA payroll taxes every paycheck. These are the equivalent of insurance premiums. The money does not go into an individual account or get invested, it gets sent out to people who are currently receiving benefits.
The issue is that when social security was first set up, the age that people would start receiving benefits was 65, because at the time, the expected life expectancy in the US was 60/64 for men/women. This meant that most of the workers paying FICA taxes wouldn't actually live long enough to ever start receiving benefits. That is how the system worked financially.
Over the last 90 years since, life expectancy in the US has increased significantly to ~80 years today. But the age that people began receiving benefits has not increased accordingly (they actually lowered it in the early '60s and started allowing people to receive partial early benefits at 62). So now, far more people than the system can handle are living long enough to start collecting benefits, and receiving those payments for decades.

Just because you get paid a livable wage to argue over the internet does not mean you are smart.
Matt "baby-face" Walsh is focusing on the words used, not the ideas they represent, like a lawyer finding loopholes and "outs" while completely ignoring the spirit of the law (he does work for Jews, so I guess we cannot fault him for thinking like a jew).
Boomer's money was taken from them, in the expectation that they would have social security after retirement. That is as far as it needs to go. We don't need to delve into the mechanics of it, or the morality of it.

Not every boomer voted for it. Not every Boomer agreed with it. Not every Boomer supported it or wanted it to stay in place for the next generation. But they had it, and they saw it, and they planned around it, and rightly so. So to pull the rug out from under them, claiming all this moral high ground "you voted for it" bullshit, is wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right.
The Boomer's deserve what was promised to them, and the next generation deserves fariness on what they have to pay in and get out of it.

I don't know why I responded to this, I just lost a couple of braincells.

>From where I sit, an world without SS looks like blacks, single mothers, and fiscally irresponsible boomers starving to death
Bascially yes. The reason they were able to create SS in the first place was because there was an actual issue with (relatively small numbers of) old people who became so elderly and decrepit and lived so long that they were completely unable to pay for food or housing and ended up starving or living on the street if they didn't have family members who could take them in.
>and all of those things are a positive for my long-term success.
Not necessarily. If you think SS is bad, I am sure whatever batshit insane "solution" all the suicidal empathy roasties and DSA retards will try to force on everyone will be even worse. Try to think back to 2020 and how insane those people got in the name of "you're killing the grandmas!" when they can blame you for all the niggerinos and single mothers and irresponsible grandparents ending up homeless or starving. They aren't just going to let the losers and retards starve to death, they would use it as a pretext to specifically fuck over financially responsible, straight White males as hard as possible.

>The Boomer's deserve what was promised to them
Promises are meaningless. The boomers have had smoke blown up their ass and have been promised the world and everything in it for their entire lives. Also this whole idea that this is some unexpected surprise being sprung on the boomers after they spent their whole lives thinking that there would never be any issues with Social Security is complete bullshit.
As far back as 1964, politicians were questioning the long term viability of Social Security. There were also major issues with immediate insolvency of SS funds in the late '70s and early '80s. And the stability and long term availability of Social Security was the key issue in the 2000 election.
Boomers have actually spent their entire lives being told that Social Security has major systemic issues
>and the next generation deserves fairness on what they have to pay in and get out of it.
So the Boomers get everything they were "promised" but younger generations only deserve what is "fair?" What exactly do you mean by "fair," because that sounds like the bullshit someone says when they really just want to fuck you over.
Does this sound "fair":
Typical 65 yo boomer, their prime working and earning years also happened to be decades of unprecedented economic growth. Earned six figures for decades. Regularly put money into their 401ks and IRAs and brokerage accounts and watched the numbers go to the moon. Their house is paid off and worth far more than they paid for it. So is the vacation house and the rental properties. Healthy and still perfectly capable of strenuous physical activities. They constantly bitch and complain about how expensive everything is, or how the kids today don't seem appreciative that they left a $1 tip on their meal at the restaurant, but they never struggle to pay bill. They earn more in dividends and interest from their investments than their children receive in wages at work.
That boomer will receive $4,152 per month for life.

When they were young, Boomers made all the same arguments that you are making in this thread. Someday you'll be old, like they are now. Generational divide and conquer is a foolproof tactic that the enemy uses to create infighting on our side and so maybe you should direct your hate toward socialism instead of your parents and ancestors.

I don't think boomers ever saw truth or reality. They accepted convenient and comforting lies wholeheartedly and now they hate us (millenials and younger) for pointing at the consequences of their choices and saying "you should have to live with the consequences of your own actions, and it is wrong to make us pay for your mistakes."

It's all about the jew behind the curtain operating the printing presses for he alone is responsible for who gets to trade their worthless monopoly money for the real value produced by industry.
The boomers handed in worthless money and now they expect to be handed back value, and the jew may or may not reward them, depending on what favors the jew, of course.
You are correct that they deserve to be handed back their investment's worth, which is zero.
