It shrinks federal power, lets states decide for themselves, undercuts criminal enterprises that profit from prohibition, and frees up police and courts to focus on real crime from which people actually suffer. Treat it like alcohol regulated, taxed if necessary, and left to free people, not to the boomercracy.

I think it's very difficult to justify cannabis prohibition. I think almost all arguments I've heard (that weren't easily discounted) were either that the government should protect citizens from themselves like a parent, or some variety of personal distaste like complaining about the smell.
