People keep saying that Israel is "On the brink of civil war". Who exactly are the factions that would actually be willing to escalate to violence? It seems like all the hardcore zionists and orthodox jews are all allies. Are the peaceful kibbutz living leftist commie jews really going to escalate to violence against the more conservative jews? It seems like another "mostly peaceful" moment but they are trying to play it up as more serious for the masses but its really a big nothing burger. Does anyone have any insight on this topic?

I dont think they are on the verge of a civil war, but they do have a major problem with trying to force the orthodox into conscription, while at the same time the largest population in the future of israel will be the same orthodox jews

Somewhere between a quarter and a third of Israelis have fled the country since 10/7. The ones left, probably can't leave, or due to zealotry or extreme Jewish patriotism won't. But they're low on people. I saw a video on NHK from Ashkelon or Ashdod or Ashsomething or other the place was a ghost town and over half the populace had fled.I don't think a civil war will erupt though. There doesn't seem to be a political solution to their problems any more. Any possibility of peace or at least co-existence with spates of light fighting with Iran has been completely crushed.
