line just goes up, simple as
>>543911294Based, imagine how much GDP we will create with this increase
mutts nowadays pay more in debt interest than they waste in their entire military lmao and it will only get worse
>>543911294So the US has the ability to pay high interest rate bonds? How is that a bad thing? Sure it means they need money now but it doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be able to pay it off later
>>543911294what does blue mean? Good? Bad?
>>543911404How are we going to pay it later?
We're all gunna make it bros
>>543911426All I know is that Yield moves inversely to Prices. So that means the price of Bonds is tanking?
>>543911677Being the world's superpower with a reserve currency printing machine has its benefits. Could be worse like Russia which has 16% bond rates
>>543911908But it's not paid back by currency printing, it's paid back by taxpayers.
>>543911796Market forces government to raise rates to match the price they think it worth.
>>543912023Says who? That isn't how it works at all you goose.
>>543911796Bonds already sold that have lower yields are tanking if you sell them, yes.
>thinks the yields matter in todays fake and gay economy
>>543911426Absolutely nothing. The number can become infinity and life still goes on. The system would need to be changed though. Ultimately, you're either alive or not. It's a zero sum game. And if you're thinking in terms of profit, the advice would be to fuck off from long term bonds, dip your feet into short term bonds only, in the 3 month range, start looking at gold like a hawk. If they start printing money, if anything crashes and forces margin calls, buy the dip in gold because it will get a massive bump. Otherwise if you're into stocks, buying US refiners and still going for the AI play is the way to go.
>>543911404The government offers the interest rate required to raise the capital necessary. A higher interest rate means that people don't trust you and you are having to pull your pants down a little more to get them take the bait.Which becomes a spiral because you have to pay more of your profits to the investors which means you have less to show for yourself which means you have to pull your pants down a little more to attract investors.Money is just materialised trust. If I trust you will do something then no money is necessary. Lots and lots of money means nobody trusts each other. The government is having to issue more and more money to generate same level of trust
>>543911294explain in monke terms comrade
>>543913074It means governments are going bankrupt because of endless gibs.Millions of browns must go back.
>>543912949> The system would need to be changed> going for the AI play is the way to go.Not sure whether to become a revolutionary or a turbo capitalist now
>>543911357GDP?
>>543913068Nice explanation, anon.
>>543913125If the number became infinity the system would need to be changed. This statement is true. But since the number hasn't become infinity and is unlikely to, investing into AI is still the way to go. This statement is also true.Is UK education that bad these days? I read that 1 out of 4 reception age children aren't toilet trained. My condolences.
>>543913589The number technically can't become infinite as that would indicate complete seizure of the system. That's hypothetically possible but people still need to eat and so engage in economic activity even in a system vitiated with mistrust. But I do take the substance of the point that the system does bottom out and as of yet hasn't. I also agree with you that the method to generate equity quickly today would be to invest in AI. But I would argue all day that the system was supposed to do a full jubilee/wealth transfer in 2008, we have been making shit up as we go along since then and have been slowly eroding trust in doing so whilst ramping up government control in order to manufacture trust. As in the system is due a correction and all the stuff we are doing to avoid it just make it more painful when it happens. But I would also say that it all comes down to long life. That the boomers who were supposed to be liquidated in 2008 couldn't be because they still have 25/30 years to live. That being my admittedly pessimistic view that if you ain't rich now then you may as well wait for the correction because all the nuevou riche will be first to be foreclosed upon when it inevitably does.No it's not that bad, it's worse, Britain like many countries is on paper functionally extinct. As in it meets long established conservation thresholds for long term direct conservation effort. The not being able to shit in the toilet is merely a punctuation mark. But truly the world needs to get to grips with long life or else the sacrifices made to achieve it, which were very much morally questionable, will be for nothing. We are currently on the precipice of either getting to grips with becoming a long lived mammal, or yo-yoing between feast and famine generations or worse long term decline. All novel problems are down to long life. Everything else is same shit different toilet.
>>543911404>So the US has the ability to pay high interest rate bonds? That's the neat part, it does not.
