I'm sure this is totally real and accurate, and if it is, it will remain this way for the foreseeable future.

My problem is that even if there are tankers moving there's a ton of refining capacity that's just been blown to shit.

>if i say I am actually a woman enough times others will accept it and I win
>If I say oil is flowing enough times others will accept it and I win
Transwinning!

That's a flat out lie.
There isn't any speck of evidence that backs any of that up
And if it were true, the price of oil would come down and the price of diesel wouldn't be $9 a gallon in the United States.
So yeah they're just lying to see if they can get people to believe them before the midterms.
Sad.
Many such cases.

When the price of stuff stays high long enough the market considers it a signal that you're willing to pay that much and there's no reason to drive it back down. You've been doing fine at 8$ a gallon or whatever for six months now, the gas man has no reason to sell for cheaper instead of pocketing the difference with the old prices.

Except competition I guess but that market is cartellised as fuck, it'd work for tomatoes but you got five companies handling most of it and they all own one another.

You have another example with taxes, sometimes they get slashed on certain things hoping things get cheaper, to promote local businesses or whatever, the seller systematically pockets them and keeps the price the same.
