Its the same with Anglicanism and to a lesser extent but still true for Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, etc.For all the crap they get, its only baptists and Non-Denominationals who make a big point about personal belief; hence them being credo-baptist (baptised in water as a confession of faith, as opposed to be doing done to infants who cannot yet communicate). For the Anglosphere, credobaptist believers have been pretty common; so we assume that if someone professes to be Christian, that they will hold traditionally Christian values; opposing abortion, divorce, homosexuality, etc. This is simply not the case with Christians outside of the Anglosphere. There of course are true believers among these other denominations, but expect many 'Christians' that were baptised as infants to not actually follow Biblical teaching, instead to them it is just a part of their culture, and therefore is not binding to their personal beliefs.

American Catholic liberals always had a transactional relationship with the Church they should have had their faces branded and their legs broken the first time they said they supported abortion but the Church went soft and even encouraged this kind of thinking
