>From October 13 to 20, Italy will host a NATO military exercise that includes a simulation involving the presence of nuclear weapons on national territory—a large-scale multinational exercise featuring air and naval operations over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Aircraft will deploy from the bases at Ghedi, Aviano, Amendola, Gioia del Colle, and Trapani. Activities will take place on October 13, 14, 16, and 20 along a network of corridors spanning the entire peninsula: from Friuli and the Lombardy plain along the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, from Puglia heading west, and from western Sicily. >Intense military air activity, live-fire drills, and the use of drones are expected in all these areas.
