The only thing I can think of is there was this underlying theme of mysticism that got stronger as the film went on, the rabbi scene being one where Hanson loses it must have some significance. I like the way they completely re-imagined Chris Hansen being at a loss for words, stumbling, and panicking.He wasn't. He's never really been that way at all. There are a few scenarios where he was very careful with his words, for sure. But not in a sort of stammering intense staredown.The jew actually comes off as really sinister in this scene. Were we supposed to feel bad for him or something?
Deliberate placement?I think the word I was looking for was apprehensive. At no point in the entire series was he this apprehensive about confronting any of his catches.I realize they're probably going for some dreamy, psychological feel to convey some tension and add weight to the scene, but this is melodramatic in the extreme.
