It's a good movie. People don't like it because it stings and it upends the delusions they walk around with every day.
>>543942485So I gather you find out this movie is a play halfway through, but is the first half shot like a movie?
People either hate it or love it
>>543942682You can kinda tell it's a play from the beginning. The movie doesn't spoon feed it to you, but there's enough going on visually to clue you in.
>>543942485can I see that certification then?
>>543942485This is not an anti Trump thread get this shit off the catalog migger
>>543942485What is this shit even about? God hollywood is so fucking bankrupt. Some gay shilled fake negative reception to boost sales?
>>543943298who cares, it was directed by a spic.
>Tom CruiseAlright, time to watch this movie.
>>543942485had to have ai explain it to me twice just to be sure im glad I never heard of this crap and know if anyone approaches me about it i know they are crap
>>543942485If Kotaku likes it then it must be extra gay AIDS.
>>543942600ITS WOKE AS FUCKDEATH TO TRANSGENDER IDEOLOGY
>>543943485collateral, magnolia, vanilla sky, eyes wide shut.
>>543943275We can say nigger here reddit anon.
>>543942485Propaganda film by kikes
>>543943565It's not woke at all. There's even a joke in about the play director (a young black woman) being hired just because she's "hip." The producer of the play is like the grandson of the psychotic oil tycoon the play is about, and he straight up says he bought the rights to the play and produced the reimagining of it because he saw how much people loved watching his grandfather die. The movie is non partisan, and that's what people don't like.
>um ackchually it's a good movie because we like it and you don't tee heeLeftoids are scum.
>>543942485DIGGERS TONGUE MY ANUS.THANK YOUR FOR YOU ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
>>543943983I thought they didn’t like it because it’s incredibly cynical and misanthropic.
>>543944192If that were the case, audiences wouldn't hate it so much across the board. Everything is viewed through a political lens now. When a movie by all measures is good and politically neutral, even if it's cynical and misanthropic, it will still find an audience. This movie is a litmus test for whether someone's mind has been captured and poisoned by politics in general.
>>543942485so normies didnt like it, big deal, now Ellison has to eat a 300 million$ loss just as he takes over hahaha
>>543942485I only found cam-rip on TPB and sound was wonky.Hard to watch and listen, didn't make it through.PS-critics are fags and always wrong. Jews make it hard to get just audience ratings, for obvious reasons.
>>543944401>audiences wouldn't hate it so much across the board.its not for normiesCruise action fans heads will explodeI liked it, not quite a Dr Strangelove of global warming but a noble effort, black comedy is my favorite genre, Bugonia was another recent good black comedy
Haven't seen that one yet. However, here are two movies from recent years that I believe are critically, critically overrated:>Sinners (2025)From Dusk Till Dawn, but black.Blade, but less black. (since it has got a "club scene" which every vampire flick since Blade ought to have. granted, it was a good one, too...)>Everything Everywhere All at OnceA mixture of Cloud Atlas, but Asian and South Park fecal humor.A fighting flick with no memorable fight-scene.The only "memorable" scene from the whole movie (you know which one it is already...) was just absurdity for absurdity's sake:The blend of>Scary Movie 2's parody of Charlies Angels>South Park Mr Slave X Britney Spears>Save The Green Planet dildo up ass interrogation.SEVEN FUCKING OSCARScome on, man...If you want an entertaining fighting flick that at least is telling you upfront that it's got>video game physics>video game damage model>video game logic>therefore being a 90 minute cutscene,is The Furious from 2025.
>>543945260I haven't watched Bugonia yet, but I was more or less already spoiled. I'll still check it out. I love black comedy as well. >Cruise action fans heads will explodeIronically, since it's the best acting of his career.
>>543943231
>2026: Flattery == Irony passes
>>543942485>The Critics Got This One Dead Wrongsays the critic
>>543942485wait is this a troll thread?
>>543945365>>Cruise action fans heads will explode>Ironically, since it's the best acting of his career.his podium speech is epic, some of his best work
>>543942485My neighbor who saw a prescreening of this movie a couple weeks ago said it was weird and morning. He walked out after an hour. He was like it was also very meta too which he's also not a fan of. He was telling me how it's basically a play within a movie and I was like oh like birdman?! He said nothing like birdman. Birdman was actually good. This, sadly wasn't but I guess I'd have to see it
>>543945483it might be getting a delayed response as people get over the shock of seeing Cruise not in an action film, but way too late to even come close to breaking even
>>543945052watchseries dot bar has hd cam stream
>>543942485Lets all talk about a movie and the paid actors, we can discuss if we liked it or not and the box receipts. its all so terribly important.
>>543945260Eddington > Bugonia (Stav sucks)
>>543944192>they didn’t like it because it’s incredibly cynical and misanthropic. This is the default excuse people tend to give whenever someone asks them to substantiate the rationale for their ideological position in a way that isn’t just an elaborate version of “because I said so”.
>>543943685The firm is another
>>543942485it's actually brilliant, and the trailers intentionally hide what it's aboutdon't read about it before watching
>>543945320Sinners is so fucking trash. And the way niggers act like it's high cinema even though it is literally just from dusk til dawn but worse. I turned it off a little after the nigger dance scene, the preacher son losing his v-card just made me turn it off lol.I was waiting for the chink bitcj to say yeah give her that BIG BLACK COCK...
>>543947066>I turned it off a little after the nigger dance scene, the preacher son losing his v-card just made me turn it off lol.Ok, I can see that.I watched it in full and quite honestly the "club scene" is the only memorable thing about the whole movie.I'm a sucker for club scenes, however.Yet, this one was good. But they went too authentic to their musical lore I believe. The black electronic guitarist should've been cast by someone with great mainstream appeal and not some niche black musician. Therefore the only viable person to have cast as the black electric guitarist was Lenny Kravitz.Nobody tell me that white and especially black folks wouldn't have marked out like schoolchildren for that.

>>543947492(addendum)Also I believe that it would've been most culturally appropriate for the "club scene" mashup to include at least a few sounds and pieces by Faithless' "Insomnia" or "God Is a DJ"Perhaps the narrator even just saying>This is our church,>this is where we heal our hurt.
