Let's face reality, women are absolutely correct that we don't take "mental health treatment" seriously enough. In light of not only the Lindsay Clancey murders but also the (fucking hell) dozen or so that have been reported on in the weeks since her trial, it has become clear that there is a serious problem with women murdering their children due to postpartum depression. Accordingly, I suggest the following:1. The name of this Act is the Lindsay Clancey Preventing Child Murders Act of 2026.2. [insert state law code section here] is hereby amended as follows:(a) Upon being called to a residence on a complaint of a woman suffering postpartum depression and behaving in a manner that risks harm to her children, her spouse, and/or herself, officers are required to detain the woman under [insert state involuntary commitment statute] for a period of not less than fifteen (15) days for evaluation and, if necessary, the start of treatment. A finding that a patient has postpartum depression requires mandatory extension of the mental health hold until the patient is found stable.(b) mental health professionals shall be mandatory reporters for any patient expressing thoughts of killing her children and/or spouse as a result of postpartum depression or postpartum psychosis.
>>543949280Let's take women at their word that mental health isn't being taken seriously enough, and start taking it seriously enough. Mandatory commitment and forced treatment are a small price to pay to save children from monsters.
>>543949337Or perhaps that should be "momsters".
yeah i hear forced detention does wonders for your mental health
>>543949280This is only acceptable if the arresting officers / shrinks are women too
>>543949280Just remembered I meant to add another provision:(c) If the detainee is breastfeeding an infant or toddler, pumping equipment shall be provided so that she can continue to feed her child while detained.
